          GREAT POOL AND HOT TUB

          4 of 5
It was a perfect location with a beautiful pool and hot tub. Rachel and Zach couldn't have been nicer, all and all it was exactly what we needed.

          ABSOLUTELY PERFECT

          5 of 5
I can't say enough good things about Diana, Scott, and their home. They were there to meet us when we arrived, were available by phone before our stay to answer any questions, and were simply lovely hosts. Their hospitality and warmth truly made the trip! We are LA locals and wanted to have a little getaway for my birthday, and Scott greeted us a with a bottle of champagne and a great big smile, answered all of our questions, and kept offering ways to make our stay nicer. The digs are GORGEOUS. The decor is so cool - with lots of industrial-meets-beachy touches - and the grounds are so relaxing and beautiful. Tons of parking, a huge yard with fire pit, hammocks, and just a 5 min walk to the gate to the beach. It is a guest house on the property of the main house with a shared back yard, but it feels private and Diana and Scott really want you to feel at home. We had friends over to grill at night and the next morning had a mimosa brunch outside in the sun - it couldn't have been more peaceful. They were super flexible, kind, and professional - can't wait to stay there again!

THE HIDEAWAY FOR A COLLEGE GRADUATION VISIT

          5 of 5
I actually reserved this home 5 months prior to arrival, after the recommendation from a co-worker that we should try VRBO. We were travelling to California to attend our son’s graduation from Pepperdine. My husband and I have stressful vocations, and I welcomed the idea of staying in a location which might be away from traffic and relaxing, yet within close proximity to Pepperdine. This home exceeded all of my expectations. The distance from the college was exactly as described to me by Olga; very close, a scenic drive, and light traffic. We also traveled into other common popular tourist destinations in LA, and the routes were very direct. The parking at the Hideaway is ample and easy, and the beauty of the property is surreal. The yard accompanying the home is very large. The views are breathtaking by themselves, but area accompanying the Hideaway is beautifully landscaped, with outdoor tables, chairs a bench arranged to enjoy the views at every angle. And it was indeed very peaceful, which is exactly what we needed. The owners of the home certainly let us know that they were accessible if anything was needed or if we had any questions, but otherwise left us alone to enjoy the solitude of the property. Olga had provided information about parks and restaurants in the area via e-mail prior to arrival, and they were very accurate and helpful. The home itself is much larger than portrayed, and spotless with very modern accommodations. The Topanga Canyon area is charming, and Malibu and the ocean are literally just down the street . The Hideaway felt private and remote, yet is actually very centrally located. I heard many other families talking abou the accommodations they had secured to attend their child’s Pepperdine graduation, and many individuals sounded very stressed. I felt so lucky to have found the Hideaway. There is a peacefulness that accompanies it which couldn't be obtained at a hotel. Incidentally, while most people also of course consider the expense of accommodations while travelling, The Hideaway was more economical than hotels I had considered earlier, and so much more unique. A lovely property and an experience which will only add to the joy of seeing one’s child graduate from college. After living in Malibu for 4 years and then seeing the property, my son actually requested to just spend an evening relaxing there. I have a great picture of him, sleeping in a hammock in the home's backyard. Priceless.
