A little piece of heaven

5 of 5
We stayed in this lovely home for one month during the 2013 Solar Decathlon. The house is gorgeous inside and out. It sits at the end of the road and has water views from the main living areas. The outdoor space is much larger than the pictures show. One of our guests spent most of her time in the outdoor space on the comfortable furniture. There is a large table for eating as well as a TV and BBQ. There are birds to watch and large fish in the manmade lake if you want to fish. It is very quiet here. You see people going by on their electric boats, especially during the weekend. The inside of the house is open concept with a living room and huge TV, large eating bar, dining room table and fireplace. This is someones home and it is extremely well stocked with nice dishes, pots and pans and small appliances. The Master bedroom is very unique. There is a double door entrance. The bathroom is on the left and the bedroom is on the right. There is a fireplace and large TV. There is a nice staircase up to the loft. The loft is set up as an office with a double bed. It was a perfect work and sleep space for our son who came with us. The Master suite has a huge walk in closet. The sink area is open to the bedroom (double sinks). There is a walk in shower and closeted bathroom. The jacuzzi tub is in the second bathroom down the hall. We used the huge closet to change clothes in since the bathroom was so open. There are two other good sized bedrooms in the house with comfy queen sized beds. All the bedrooms have flat screen TVs. There is a large three car garage as well with automatic garage door openers. The decor inside is very nice with travertine tile throughout the living areas and new carpet in the bedrooms. Even though this is a one story home the double door entrance separates the living area and the bedrooms. There are two steps down to the living area on one side and two steps down to the bedrooms on the other side. Although a previous reviewer had commented about noise we found it just the opposite. Because of the separation of the living areas and the bedrooms it was very quiet in the bedrooms. We were all adults in our group but everyone was working during our visit and coming and going at all hours. We found the house very soundproof and the area very quiet. Make sure you use the heated pools and the gym at the Sun and Sail Club. The hot tub looks out over the lake and is gorgeous at Sunset. The gym faces the 4 pools. The adult only pool was fabulous.
