A Real Desert Oasis !

5 of 5
The approach through the desert from LA had everyone watching the air temperature gauge in the car. Being from Ireland we opted to watch in degrees Celsius, and as we entered the the carport, the display had topped out at 46. The shelter ensured that there were no third degree leg and bum burns each morning as we entered the car. The house was very well equipped and as warm or as cool as you wanted it to be. Everything was clean and tidy and comfortable and relaxing and well-labelled and accessible (I think you get the picture). The fridge was more than big enough for lots of ice cold wine and beer. We even managed to fit some food in there. All was as advertised. No nasty shocks. The Garden was paradise in the warm desert sun. An early morning dip in the pool was a must, as the sun emerged from behind the rugged Santa Rosa Mountains and proved to become an indelible memory. The house was the perfectly located for visiting some amazing places. For the girls a forty minute drive to the Desert Hills Premium Outlets. For myself, a professional photographer and fan of all things awe inspiring - A fifty minute trip to the apocalyptic Salton Sea, an accidental sea in the middle of the desert on top of the San Andreas Fault, was a real highlight. Sonny Bono, the Beach Boys and the likes once vacationed there. But something began to happen, and as suddenly as they arrived, they left again. Today what drove them away still presides, casting an eerie, magnetic presence over the shores. I’ll let you look up the story for yourselves .So, back to that garden. Lush and colourful, with a pool and hot tub as well as lime trees (so a bottle of gin had to be purchased). A welcome misting installation around the veranda was only a twist of a tap away. And humming-birds frequented the hanging feeders. Great dining choices were never further than a short car journey away in La Quinta or nearby Palm Springs. A trip into the mountains aboard the Palm Springs Aerial-World's Largest Rotating Tramcar-offered a breath-taking journey up the sheer cliffs of Chino Canyon. Back at Jane’s, relaxation in the pool of an evening, gazing at the star-spangled desert sky was simply too magical for words.Jane’s friendliness and obvious pride in providing a five star experience really shone through, and her wealth of informed suggestions on places to see, has left us with no option but to plan a return trip. We left feeling like we’d made a good friend. James, Eileen & Abbi - Ireland.

Like a room at the Hilton, but better!

5 of 5
Very nice condo! It's like a nice hotel, but even better because it has multipe rooms, a kitchen, and a living room. Fresh white towels and sheets, organic bath soaps and shampoo, large separate bath tubs, tile showers, plenty of storage, granite kitchen with top of the line appliances, filtered water. My husband and I were there with our kids and my sister's family. It was so nice that each couple got to have our own master suite. Our suite even had a partially separate section where we were able to set up our baby's Pack N Play. The pool was just down the stairs and we had it to ourselves each time we went. And there is a Trader Joes just a couple miles away!

More than we expected!!!

5 of 5
I stay with my whole tennis team. We were 14 adults in total and the property was perfect. Great kitchen, spacious rooms and living room. Perfect for families reunions and/or groups that want to stay together and do not mind not going out, since this property makes you want to stay inside. Great patio and pools. Lynne, the owner, very sweet lady. I recommend it to every tennis team playing for National Championship. Definitely staying again when I get back to the area.
