NICE PLACE TO STAY

4 of 5
I stayed here over 4th of july weekend with my husband and two children (ages 2 and 4). The condo is basic but very clean, comfortable and well equipped. Andrew was great to work with. He was so accessible. He was pretty much a text message away. Someone said it wasn't luxurious, and it wasn't, but for the price i don't know why you would expect a luxury condo. It is very cozy. The bed was also very very comfortable. I do have one negative comment. It advertises a pull out couch that turns into a bed. I have seen many pull out sofas and this was not one. I guess, in theory it could be considered one, but it was the most uncomfortable one I have ever slept on. I wouldn't even allow my kids to sleep on it, so my husband slept on the regular couch and I slept on the bed with my two kids. No one slept on the "pull out sofa". I would come back here but not with my kids for lack of sleeping space.

BEST VACATION PLACE FOR MY FAMILY

5 of 5
Our family of 5 people stayed at this condo for 4 days. The place is better than it was described on the website. Very comfortable, clean, spacious, quiet, conveniently located, and well maintained. It is reasonably priced as well. We will definitely stay there again if we go to La Jolla in the future.

AMAZING LOCATION, VIEW, AND FREE BEACH PARKING!

5 of 5
They say location is everything, and this property has the best location! Literally one minute walking from side gate until toes are in the ocean. The space is larger than it appears in the pictures. It’s the first floor, right side unit. There is a separate rental upstairs, and you share the back courtyard with the other renters. There is a private patio outside the sliding glass door in the dining area, with a great view of Kellogg park and the Pacific beyond. The very best thing though (maybe even better than the view), is the two car garage you have all to yourself! Beach parking in La Jolla can be competitive, so it was fantastic to be able to leave at any time and still be able to park upon our return. The rental property is owned and managed by Vicki, who did everything to make our stay memorable. She was responsive to our questions and returned calls timely. The property provides body-boards, beach chairs, and plenty of nice beach towels, which we used daily at La Jolla Shores…the kids loved riding the waves. Great closets and storage in both bedrooms, and both bathrooms were spacious. We never ran out of hot water, even during simultaneous showers. The laundry room is very convenient when coming home with wet towels and such. The rental is central to many tourist activities in San Diego, but be forewarned about traffic. There are only a couple routes to get into La Jolla, so during 5 o’clock traffic, it can take a while. The grocery store is a few miles away, but there are a few local stores and restaurants less than 2 blocks away (pizza, coffee, frozen yogurt, a small market, Mexican, sushi, Italian). Lastly, don’t forget the sunscreen, or the hoodie! The cool coastal air masks the fact that your skin is frying under the California sun, and the mornings and evenings are chilly – especially when walking on the beach or having a bonfire across the street at La Jolla Shores. Also, excellent tide pools are down past the pier. We went down in the morning during a negative tide and the kids found starfish, crabs, snails, fish, and sea anemones. Thanks for opening up this property Vicki. Unbeatable value for the location and the boys will always remember our La Jolla vacation!
