Sweet cabin

5 of 5
I loved this cabin. My husband, son, and I were up in Big Bear for a snowboarding trip. It was in a nice location close to the resorts (15 min) but not so close that you couldn't get away from the party and hustle bustle of Big Bear. The whole place has been re-done and frankly, staying there made me wish I owned it!! I took a video of the sunrise the first morning we were there and the sky with the horses frolicking in the distance was unbelievably beautiful and peaceful! There is everything you need for a weekend stay and the host is SUPER accommodating and welcoming! I wish there was one more room so I could bring my folks up with us next time we visited!!! We will be back for sure!

Definitely big enough for our large group. Thanks Granny!!

Our gathering was 14 people, and the house was more than comfortable for our group. This is a fun place because their are actually 2 houses, both with full kitchens and living rooms. The larger home is still not huge, but uses the space well, with a common sleeping are that can fit 10 people on it's own, if you don't mind some open walls. There are also TONS of seating as there were two large wood tables, with chairs for everyone. The location was also great, as shopping and the village are VERY close. You could almost walk to the village if you're up for the hike. We also had quite a few vehicles, as not everyone could car pool, but there was ample street parking, and 2 driveways that allowed for everyone to park. The owner's nephew met us at the house, and gave us the keys, and explained everything to us, so we knew where everything was. Only one VERY minor complaint, the first day we were there, the internet wasn't working. We were going to call the owner, but then the circuit breaker for the kitchen popped when we had the coffee maker on with the fan in the bathroom next to kitchen on at the same time. This reset the router, and internet was restored!! Crisis averted! If you have a group gathering, this is a good location to have it. The other cabins are a bit closer than we anticipated, and we tried to keep our volume low during quiet hours, so I hope we accomplished this, as there didn't seem to be many other people occupying the adjacent houses. We'll definitely consider this again for a trip next year. Thanks again Granny!!
