Great for Family with Children

5 of 5
The location of the cabin is perfect for family with little children. We have two little boys, and they played in the backyard playground for the most part. The neighbor's children were boys as well, and they came over during our stay to play with our sons. That was very nice of them. We weren't able to use the jacuzzi since the water wasn't warm enough and there was a note that says not to change the temperature on it. So we just didn't bother using it. We, however, used the included private beach club access. We were curious about the lake, so having the opportunity to enjoy the water that was exclusive to members only was really an added bonus. The cabin itself was very homey. We enjoyed homecooked meal. My only not positive comment was the filthy coffee maker. We are fond of drinking coffee, so coffeemaker is a must for us. I had to give that coffee maker some good ol' scrubbing. It was white, so you can just see all the coffee granules and the stains that was leftover by whoever used it before. I suggest replacing it=). Other than that, the cabin was really lovely and well maintained. There's an instruction at the door that tells you where to empty your trash...failed. We arrived Friday late afternoon and that trashbin was already overflowing. So, we had to find another place where to throw ours. The neighbors probably use it too? But in spite of that, the bedroom, kitchen, dining, living room, backyard, are all perfect for a family getaway. We highly recommend this place to family, especially those with little children who enjoys swing and slide and hike.

Everything is Awesome!

4 of 5
We enjoyed our stay at the Cabernet house. My 7-year-old granddaughter kept playing "Everything is Awesome," and we decided to make it our vacation theme song. In addition to the pool slide, putting course and pool table at the house, we enjoyed playing Mexican Train on the patio, walking the beautiful area, and taking advantage of some of the amenities offered in Temecula - the girls went wine tasting while the guys played golf and went fishing. Some of us went horse-back riding, some danced at The Stampede - fun! We appreciated the welcoming music when we first arrived - thanks for your hospitality! Linda :-)

Cozy Convenient & Great memory for the family

5 of 5
My family settled on Sam and Carrie's property due to its proximity to Snow Summit Resort and the value. I had never booked a cabin/house before, let alone booked for eight adults and a toddler, so the anxiety was kinda high. However, from the beginning Sam and Carrie were always responsive to my questions and answered comprehensively. They were also always fair. The rental documents were very detailed, too. The house was great! It had everything that we needed from the spices and pots to the extra towels and blankets. I don't think there was anything that my family missed? The internet was spot on. The proximity to the supermarkets, gas stations, and the ski resort was great. The heater worked like a charm. The layout of the home (the second floor had a big room with its own bathroom and the two other rooms were on the first floor) was perfect for my family (i.e., the family with the toddler could stay upstairs). The house's decor make the house felt 'rustic' and 'nostalgic' and just how my family expected it. The high living room ceiling, the wood paneling...I think this was a great match! I hope we can come back when there is tons of snow and we actually feel the need to use the fireplace. I think the only issues were a very slight ant problem (those suckers are everywhere in this world) and that the stove did not ignite (i.e., use a lighter which I don't mind but some people might be scared?). Book! Book! Book!
