Great for families with small pets

4 of 5
The place was perfect for my family. I have two boys ages 9 and 12, a small dog and we brought grandma with us too. The place was very clean, comfortable and in a great location near town and within walking distance of the lake and a park. The house was the perfect size for the 5 of us and I could easily see 7 people being very comfortable here too! It was very quiet. My kids really enjoyed the game room. They were having so much fun enjoying the house they did not want to leave. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. They had most everything labeled on the cabinets so we could find what we needed. The owners were very responsive during all communications and all transactions were very smooth. My little dog is not use to stairs so it took him a few days to figure out how to go down stairs but he too seemed to enjoy the place. The water did take a long time to warm up (I have a tankless water heater and it should warm up faster - maybe they need to raise the heat a bit on it) and the showers just trickled, but it is understandable in a drought. I do wish that I knew about the animal trophies ahead of time. They have about 4 heads mounted around the house. I did not see any in the photos and that was one of the reasons I chose this place over others. It was like the deer in the dining room was looking at me the whole time. My son that is a big animal lover is especially sensitive to seeing dead animals displayed as trophies. We went here for our early Spring Break. There was not much snow left as we had hoped for so that was great since we do not like to ski! As for activities near by we did take the kids to a place where they could go tubing and sledding. We also went ziplining one day too. My 12 year old really enjoyed ziplining for the first time. We used Action Zipline Tours where they had wonderful staff.

Beautiful home that is well maintained

5 of 5
What a great home. When I was looking for a rental for the weekend, there were so many to choose from. Luckily for my family and I, we picked the right one. First of all, working with Stacy was such a pleasure. She immediately got back with me on my request and was so helpful with any questions that I had about the property. She made me feel like my family was a priority. Once we arrived on the property, I noticed how clean and well maintained it was. The house was also very spacious. Plenty of room, and then some, for all of our family, 8 of us total. The master bedroom is incredible and the other bedrooms were great. It was really like being at home. The mattresses were comfortable and sleeping was not a problem. This house had everything you would expect to have in your own home, right down to the the spices to cook meals. The little basket with packets of hot chocolate and tea was also a nice touch. It is also close to everything that you want to do in Big Bear, recreation, dining, and shopping. I would definitely recommend this to my family and when I go back to Big Bear in the near future, this will be the house that I will be staying in again. Thank you so much for everything Stacy.

Definitely going to book this house again!!!

5 of 5
I second every good things said about this house in the reviews below. We had a fantastic and memorable President's Day weekend and we already started talking about when we're going back. We have been going to Lake Arrowhead for the past 7 years, it's like an annual winter getaway for family and close friends. We've been booking different cabins but since we discovered this beautiful house, we decided not to look for another one next year. It's huge, it's clean, kitchen is complete, truly a great room, and the bedrooms are spacious. Don't get me started on the bathrooms, felt like we're in a five star hotel! Everyone was so comfortable, one afternoon we decided to just ditch any outdoor plans and just stay in the house and enjoy it in, esp. the breathtaking lake views. We looked forward to snow but the house made the weekend complete despite lack of cold and snowy weather. There's snow tubing 20 minutes away so the kids got to use their snow boots! The owner was so helpful, quick to respond to any questions and she gave us a list and guidelines about the house which made it easier for us, felt like home! We didn't want to leave after 4 days and 3 nights. Thanks Jen for being gracious, pleasant to talk to and so helpful! We will be in touch again soon, just trying to decide which weekend(s) to come back! :)
