Great Cabin

4 of 5
This is a wonderful cabin with a lot of space for a large family, or multiple families. We felt very comfortable here, with a very large kitchen and rooms, you feel like you can really spread out. I would give it 5 stars but the stairs leading to the front door, and downstairs, can be a bit difficult for older family members to get down.

Most adorable cabin there is!

5 of 5
My partner and I stayed at the Hideaway cabin and loved it! We have two young children, 1 and 2 years old, so we were torn between renting a larger cabin or sticking with a cozy one. We ultimately decided to choose the cozy cabin and we loved it! Here's my list of pros/cons: Pros: -Cozy, beautiful cabin with beautiful textures and not a hint of dust or dirt anywhere! -We loved the concrete countertops, the thoughtful touches throughout (a wine key when we discovered we hadn't brought one, sleds to borrow, easy directions for the TV/cable). -We had a lot of baby gear and were a little worried about the stairs to the bedroom loft, but they were easily blocked by our Pack-N-Play or the cabin's ottoman. -Yard! We don't have a yard at home and this was awesome! If you have kids this is the bees knees! The other couple staying at the house rental also had children so they played together, which was a nice bonus. -Immediate, easy access to the owners. Every question I had was answered almost immediately. Awesome! -Quiet, peaceful surroundings. The only loud noise we heard was the UPS driver laughing with a neighbor, which left us smiling and having a great neighborhood feel. -Sleds to borrow! Movies to borrow! Awesome! -Quiet....I heard lots of bird noises, rain, just general peacefulness. NO ROAD NOISE! We live in the city and actually worried that we wouldn't sleep here because it was so quiet. -We arrived when the housekeeper was leaving and she was amazing! Friendly, helpful, and the cabin was spotless and smelled great. A nice way to start a vacation. -That fort-like feel- Everything was there, just smaller. We talked about how the cabin felt like a fort, you know, like when you were kids and had this amazing place to hang out and play....the cabin was like that. Sort of magical and fun and secret. -Bangin' heater!!!! You will be warm here! There is a wood burning stove but we didn't use it (little hands would have touched it). There is absolutely NO chance you will be cold. Cons: -Small. It was barely big enough for us and we think that our kids would have slept better if they had their own room, but who knows.....they are 1 and 2. I think that if we visit again we'll rent the larger property. If you are a couple this place is perfect. -Bed, a little hard for us. But that's a preference, right? You might love it! Thank you, Barbara, for this great experience! I can see that whoever designed and d
