Great Rustic Cabin

5 of 5
Took my family for a weeks stay at this great little cabin. Keep in mind when you read some of these bad reviews that this isn't a 5 star ski resort. Its a rustic, homey, comfortable cabin a bit off the beaten path, but easily accessible. 10 mins to arrowhead, and a half hour to big bear. But we found most everything we needed in the little town of running springs 5 mins up the road. This place was a great bang for our buck. Its comfortable, well stocked, in great condition and has a breathtaking view off the back balcony. We got a foot of snow during our stay and we found everything we needed, shovels and salt. One of the couches needs an update, but theres more than enough comfy seating without it. lots of movie channels, and reliable wifi. The furnace kept the place warm, even during the storm when the weather dropped to 10 degrees at night. The loft was really cool, my son kept calling it his cabin fort! lol. the bathroom and kitchen are really nice. newer fixtures, and appliances. we easily cooked all of our meals. All the basic pots, pans and utensils. we brought a good knife and a cutting board. They have several spare sets of sheets and blankets, but bring a good pillow. The booking process was pretty simple. Mario answered my calls and emails right away and provided us with all the info we needed prior to our check in date. My only 2 gripes, -if there's going to be snow or icy conditions, and you DON'T own a 4wd, be careful where you park. the driveway can be a little tricky to get in and out of. But like I said, shoveling and salting and a little forethought and we didnt get stuck. -For longer stays, remember there's no laundry facilities on site. The closest coin-op laundry is in Arrowhead near Cedar Glen. 15 min drive. But even with one trip to the laundromat for a weeks stay, it wasnt that big a deal. We really loved our stay. great value, beautiful view, and lots to do nearby. We were pleasantly surprised. We will definitely be back!

Great location short walk to lake & village

4 of 5
Our hosts, Mike and Bonnie, did a very good job of meeting our expectations and providing us with everything we needed to have a great stay. We were expecting to have a hard time seeing the lake (peek-a-boo) but there it was from the upper deck. We stayed with both my daughters and their spouses (althought they came and went on their own schedule) and had plenty of space and played some of the games supplied. Firewood was supplied and we always had a roaring fire going. Made the "cabin" very festive. The cabin was all decked out for Christmas made us feel right at home. Dinner at Stone Creek Bistro & Grille @ the Antlers Inn. Both places offered great service and food.

Unbelievable experience!

5 of 5
We had such an amazing time at this mountain oasis!. The views were spectacular and it snowed the night before we had to leave. It was so beautiful that we felt like we were in a postcard. We are so thankful to the wonderful owners for the opportunity to spend time in their fantastic getaway and can't wait to get a chance to go back. Everything was perfect and it's now on our list of "must do" on a regular basis.
