Great for Family with Children

5 of 5
The location of the cabin is perfect for family with little children. We have two little boys, and they played in the backyard playground for the most part. The neighbor's children were boys as well, and they came over during our stay to play with our sons. That was very nice of them. We weren't able to use the jacuzzi since the water wasn't warm enough and there was a note that says not to change the temperature on it. So we just didn't bother using it. We, however, used the included private beach club access. We were curious about the lake, so having the opportunity to enjoy the water that was exclusive to members only was really an added bonus. The cabin itself was very homey. We enjoyed homecooked meal. My only not positive comment was the filthy coffee maker. We are fond of drinking coffee, so coffeemaker is a must for us. I had to give that coffee maker some good ol' scrubbing. It was white, so you can just see all the coffee granules and the stains that was leftover by whoever used it before. I suggest replacing it=). Other than that, the cabin was really lovely and well maintained. There's an instruction at the door that tells you where to empty your trash...failed. We arrived Friday late afternoon and that trashbin was already overflowing. So, we had to find another place where to throw ours. The neighbors probably use it too? But in spite of that, the bedroom, kitchen, dining, living room, backyard, are all perfect for a family getaway. We highly recommend this place to family, especially those with little children who enjoys swing and slide and hike.

5+++ Charming Vintage Getaway!

5 of 5
Upon receiving news of the San Diego fires, my boyfriend and I decided to cancel our trip to SD and look into Lake Arrowhead instead. We luckily came across Greg’s vintage charmer and crossed our fingers that it would be available for the weekend. After contacting Greg the night before our scheduled trip we anxiously waited to see if the cabin was free. Sure enough Greg sent an email the morning of our departure and expressed that fortunately the cabin was free and that he would be able to accommodate us last minute. Greg made the process entirely easy from processing payment to getting all directions and details to us within hours, he even planted fresh flowers for us on the deck prior to our arrival. My birthday getaway was well on it’s way, Greg even gave us suggestions on a restaurants around the area and activities that would be nice to do. Once we arrived at the cabin, which was pretty late at night we opened the front door and were thoroughly impressed with the vintage feel of the cabin. The cabin was tastefully decorated and had all the amenities one could ask for in order to make our trip delightful. We loved the big 42” plasma and surround sound. Greg put together a very detailed book explaining how to use the remote control as well as the portable dishwasher which we opted to use the dish-master instead. We stayed in the downstairs bedroom which had an amazingly comfortable bed that we thoroughly enjoyed and got some rest. The two neat bedrooms upstairs reminded us of a tree house, along with the well preserved knotty pine throughout. We enjoyed breakfast and made tasty waffles with the waffle maker at the cabin and sat outside on the beautifully built, spacious deck. The deck was our highlight as we thoroughly enjoyed sitting and reading with nature surrounding us. There is WIFI at the cabin if you need to stay connected, but we were pretty much off grid since we had no reception up there and it was nice! We also hiked down to the lake per Greg’s instructions and around the lake into the village. It was a quick hike so no car is needed to get down there. The shower was nice and there were little bottles of shampoo and soap just like a hotel for your stay, thank goodness because I forgot my body wash so that was very nice to have. The cabin is truly comfortable and yet modern that you can thoroughly enjoy your time up in the quaint neighborhood. We thank Greg for sharing your beautiful vintage charmer, we will be back!
