My wife and I took our baby on her first mountain vacation and had a great vacation in this home. We had never been to Idyllwild and we spent a considerable amount of time researching and reaching out to other rental homes (we never got a reply). Then one day we came across this adorable place. Upon submitting a request we heard back from the owner immediately and booked our stay. Everything was super easy and professional - Larry was a pleasure to work with and we appreciated all of the information we received prior to our trip.
The house is in a terrific location - at the end of a cul-de-sac on a beautiful piece of property. It is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. Plenty of cooking supplies (we cooked both nights), games and books (if you have time for that), a nice selection of DVDs, a huge TV in a very comfortable living room, fireplace, comfortable beds, bathtub (great for the kid) and a terrific deck frequently visited by cute birds and squirrels (also fantastic for star gazing). We really appreciated how naturally baby-proof the house is. Our little girl loved crawling around on the carpet. Yes we still had to carefully watch her, but she clearly enjoyed the freedom of the downstairs area. We really enjoyed all of the details about the house - you can tell that the owners truly care for the place and want to make sure anyone staying there feels right at home (which we did!).
We ended up driving into town every day (a very short drive) and purchasing food from the local grocery store while also checking out the little shops nearby. We took a spectacular hike out of Humber Park, which is also very close by.
Overall the property exceeded our expectations and we can't wait to come back! We hope to make this a tradition and be able to share more adventures with our daughter in this beautiful home.
