We felt like locals staying at this wonderful property! It was exactly as described and just like the photos. The property was clean and well maintained. The area was very peaceful and quiet yet is just a very short drive (couple minutes) to Hollywood Blvd. and other attractions. The short journey up and down the hill was an adventure of its own!
The ambiance of the house itself is very light and flowing, European meets Hollywood Chic with a Bohemian flair. Frances the owner has really put a lot of thought into the design and comfort of her guests. If you love movies then you will be thoroughly pleased with her extensive movie library. As a member of the Hollywood Foreign Press, she has all of the latest and greatest! There are also plenty of cool Hollywood themed books and knick-knacks. She has left misc. supplies throughout the house for your convenience, including snacks and goodies! The courtyard and gardens were very lush and beautiful as well as functional. And yes, you can see the Hollywood sign clearly from the driveway! Runyon Canyon is just a short walk from the house. The 360 views of Los Angeles, Hills and Hollywood were just breathtaking! We drove into Beverly Hills and ate at Sur, drove to Malibu and checked out the Sunday Farmer's Market, went to Venice Beach, hired a limo to take us into Downtown Los Angeles where we ate at Wolfgang's WP24. The house is in a good central location, a great shooting off point for any direction you are heading.
Although Frances gives you your privacy, we did get to meet her briefly one morning and were thrilled to spend a little bit of time talking to her. She was very informative, friendly and extremely gracious! We felt like family! We would definitely return and recommend this property to others. In addition, it was very affordable. You really can't beat it!
Many thanks from the Weingarts!
