Fantastic Cabin (but Wannabe Chefs should ...

4 of 5
Rating Details: I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was very clean. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Fantastic Cabin (but Wannabe Chefs should bring their own gear) First let me start be saying we absolutely loved the lay out and location of the cabin. It was nice and well appointed. The kitchen-dining-living room area upstairs is perfect for a group of people (we had 6 guys) staying at the cabin. We were very excited about the “gourmet”-looking kitchen with huge granite island, granite counter tops and a gas range. This is important for us as we take turns being "Chef" for the night. However, once we opened the cabinets and saw the really poor pots/pans/knives we realized the "gourmet" kitchen was only skin deep. There were only two decent sized sauté pans and they were in pretty rough shape and very low quality (teflon coated and very thin aluminum). Trying to sear a sea-scallop was impossible which ruined the scallops. There were no chef’s knives to be found for chopping/slicing and prepping any veggies. The knives we did find could barely cut an onion. Made prepping and cooking our meals very difficult. If you're not that serious about your cooking, then this may not be an issue for you. It was for us. I’ll end by saying we absolutely had a great time and would stay here again. But be sure to bring you own pots/pans and knives if you take your cooking seriously at all.

Truly a HomeAway from home!!

5 of 5
We as a family, have rented Greg's beautiful home two years in a row for a ski vacation. This a a great house for family vacation in South Lake Tahoe!! Great setup, very nicely decorated and furnished, comfy-like-home beds, plenty of room, clean, clean, clean, nice quiet neighborhood, 5 min drive to Heavenly. All the comforts and conveniences of home, I feel like I'm staying at the home of a good friend or family member!! Greg is very easy to work with, a straight shooter - doesn't get any easier to rent a house!! Highly-Recommended (except when I want to stay there)!!!!

Beautiful Home - Great Location

5 of 5
We found this property at the last minute and were very pleased. It's beautiful, very spacious, and has a great layout for hangning out and watching the snow. We had two families there (8 people) and there was plenty of room. The kids loved the "adventure" of running around the meadows and pulling the sleds around. The hot tub was great and the view very nice from there. We wished we could have stayed longer. The location felt secluded, but it was a quick jaunt to South Shore Restaurants, sled hills, Heavenly and the casinos. We'll definitely be back and you should certainly try it if you haven't already!
