Lovely House

4 of 5
Traveling with a large group it was difficult to find somewhere with 5 or more baths and this house was perfect for our group of 12, every couple had their own room and bathroom. The photos that shows rooms with twin beds were made into very comfortable king beds and the house has lots of space both indoors and out to spread out. Spending time in the pool, with that view was a great way to wind down after days out wine tasting. We made most of our dinners and breakfasts at the house and the kitchen was great, lots of room and all the dishes, pots, pans and serving items we needed. We were there during a very warm week in September, with temperatures reaching the low 90s, and while the house was not quite cold inside during the day it was comfortable and we had no issues sleeping at night. (We are from the Texas and used to always having air conditioning, so we were quite surprised by this). The drive while mentioned in other reviews does take some extra effort in how you plan your day, the isolation was sort of nice....we heard coyotes at night and the star gazing was great. Pros: The view, the pool, the kitchen, the house fits a large group of couples traveling together, lots of room to spread out and nice space inside and out. The bedrooms and bathrooms were all very nicely furnished with nice fixtures. Cons: There are no window coverings...this was not at all an issue for those in the 4 rooms on the second floor but those in the 2 rooms on the 1st floor felt a little exposed. Water pressure upstairs is a little light in some showers. Surfaces in the kitchen (wood and white marble) were lovely but took some extra diligence to make sure they didn't get damaged.

Villa Terra Bella

5 of 5
Thirteen family members, plus a dog, just returned from an amazing vacation week at Villa Terra Bella. Each member of our family, from our two year old granddaughter to my 74 year old husband (and all those in between) had a wonderful time. I had expected to do lots of day trips but people were so content to hang out at the pool and on the rest of the property that we rarely left. Darlene has a lovely estate that was matched by her gracious hospitality. Prior to arrival, I mentioned my two sons were allergic to feathers. Darlene rearranged bedding to make sure their rooms were feather-free. And when I mentioned we couldn't locate pot holders and large cooking/serving spoons late one afternoon, the very next morning we found a bag at the door with lots of potholders and new spoons. We appreciate Darlene's responsiveness to our needs and the beautiful property, which together provided us all with a wonderful vacation. We are already talking about our next family vacation at Bella!!
