What an AMAZING place!

4 of 5
My wife and I drove up from San Francisco this past summer. The scenic drive took approximately 3 hours which included pit stops for fresh oysters and pictures along the most scenic coast we have ever seen. We checked in at the Serenisea rental agency, Cassandra was very hospitable when we picked up our keys, and she took the time to give us some very useful information about the area. The drive was five minutes away. Once we walked in, the view of the ocean along with the decorations, we knew we have found tranquility. The place is neatly decorated with all the amenities. Only thing is there is no cell phone coverage all along the Mendocino coast (which was fine with us) but they do have free wi-fi. The amenities were plentiful the flat screen tv, microwave, free NETFLIX along with a small, but very well equipped kitchen area, ie: coffee maker, utensils, pots/pans, refrigerator etc. Plenty of restaurants close by, but the main attraction was the hot tub which has a 180 degree view over looking the ocean. I highly recommend this location. We tried to book the house next door but it was sold out, but we were actually thankful for having the opportunity to stay in this charming cottage. We will be coming back next year to spend our anniversary together. Thank you Moonstar Cottage for making our stay an unforgettable memory. See you soon, Logan Warren

STUNNING BEAUTY AND SERENITY AT MOONSTAR

5 of 5
I have had the pleasure of staying at the Moonstar House and Cottage on a number of occasions over the last several years. It has a rustic charm with incredible views of the Pacific Ocean. I love listening to the crashing waves day in and day out during our stays. Relaxing in the hot tub, right on the bluffs edge. We love it so much that we got married right there on the deck. It was intimate and beautiful. Just what we wanted. The home is well maintained with plenty of dish ware and flatware, pots and pans, coffee maker, toaster, blender, etc. Comfortable, clean beds and furniture. The grounds are spectacular. With walking trails, some railroad tie stairs and the occasional sitting area to take in the views. There is even a waterfall on the grounds. The drive to Anchor Bay is less than 10 minutes and there is a great Thai Restaurant, coffee shop, hardware store, laundry, grocery, etc. and the town of Guallala is just a few more minutes down the road. It has a few more boutique type shops, art galleries and a book store, as well as, The Surf Market. Just about 20 minutes north of the property is Point Arena, it's got a movie theatre and restaurants too. The city of Mendocino is about a 45 minute drive and the giant redwoods aren't too far for an afternoon outing. I'm looking forward to that on our next trip up to stay at the beautiful, cozy and comfortable Moonstar. It's our retreat, where we forget about our cares, relax and unwind at least twice a year.
