We really enjoyed our little get away to this cabin. It is located a perfect distance from the small towns, lakes and other attractions and is in a lovely area for long walks. This is a good sized cabin for a larger group, but there were just two of us and a dog, so we didn't even make use of much of the house, including the large loft. It was a bit smokey because of fires in the area, but still such a lovely place. We enjoyed kayaking at Utica Reservoir, local hikes, Big Trees State Park, zip lining at Moaning Caverns and dinner at the Snow Shoe Brewing Company. We also enjoyed a thunder and lightening show our last night (and a power outage!) and the large windows in the living room provided a great view of it all. We had planned on barbequing one night but there was no gas in the BBQ and no charcoal grill alternative. Also, in the fall, LOTS of cedar sap, so beware, but also be informed that this sap is water soluble, so it cleans up pretty easily. Overall, we had a great time and I would definitly stay here again.
