GREAT HOMEBASE !

5 of 5
I stayed here for a total of 5 days. Stewart met me at the unit and was a great host. There is a bit of street noise (as to be expected since it is on 17th St) but nothing that interrupted sleep. Be warned of walking up the last block though...it can be a challenge (again, to be expected in San Francisco). Location is great! About a 5-7 minute walk to the Castro MUNI station so getting around town is very easy and there is no need for a car (although there is plenty of street parking right in front of the unit). My gripes are minor compared to the overall quality of the unit. The unit was very clean, HUGE shower, great linens and towels, and a VERY comfortable bed. If this unit is available while you are looking, I would definitely recommend staying here.

Beautiful, convenient, and comfortable.

My first trip to the Bay area in more than a decade could not have gone better. The location was great. Conveniently located within walking distance of many points of interest, as well as very close to both train and bus stations, we had no problem getting around the city without a car. The apartment was well decorated, included a full kitchen, and had very comfortable beds. We were slightly annoyed when we were asked to allow a showing during the middle of our stay. Other than that, the owners were friendly and professional. Overall, I would recommend this property to anyone staying in the Bay area for any considerable amount of time. Sure beats a hotel.
