We book this house for a weekend in October. We arrived in the evening around 10pm. We were a little nervous about the location being that we had to drive down a dirt road for quite a distance and it was very dark "not street lights". Felt a little like "the hills have eyes". When we arrived the house was very clean and had all the amenities that were in the description. However, there was no bunk bed in one of the rooms that pictures showed as having. We really couldn't enjoy the porch because there was sooo many rice flies. The disappointing part is that 3 weeks after our stay I was contacted from the owner "which she seemed very nice" that one of the twin beds had been broken and was now unusable and wanted to know what happened. My family is a very responsible and respectable family and there was no crazy party or ruff housing what so ever. We had a 83 year old grandma, a 5 month old baby, a 5year old and a 10 year old. All girls. Hardly the party group. lol The adult men fished most of the time. When my family checked out on Sunday, I did a walk through and made sure everything was in order, towels in shower basins, blankets folded on bed etc... I know for a fact the bed was not broken or out of place when we left on Sunday. I would have seen it or I would have been told my the person sleeping in it. The house looked as good as it did when we arrived. I was very shocked that she waited 3 weeks to call and ask about it. Weird.
Now, after receiving my deposit back, I was not charged for the broken bed "thank goodness" however she did deduct around $23 for unexplained reasons. Still haven't heard what that was for. So my recommendation if you stay here is to take pictures of this house when you arrive and also when you leave to cover yourself. Lesson learned for me. But overall the house suited our needs for that weekend.
