Seashell Cottage on Sunset Beach

5 of 5
While searching for a special getaway for my wife and I, I found Seashell Cottage on BeachNest.com. After several discussions with the property managers, I decided to book our stay. The cottage far exceeded my expectations. It is obvious that the owner developed this cottage as a labor of love. Being from the Midwest, it was easy to find interesting activities in the Santa Cruz, Monterey, and Carmel areas. But the best thing to do is to relax at this little Ledge on the sea and take in the wonderful ocean experience. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a special getaway!

Wonderful stay

5 of 5
I’m really glad that I’ve chosen this nice, cozy place in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood for my parents when they visited Monterey for two weeks. The landlord and his family are very friendly and made my parents, who don’t speak English, feel at home. The space is newly renovated and with many careful and tasteful designs to ensure comfort and privacy. A private entrance with a rustic wooden gate leads to the unit and its adjoining little garden, where you can enjoy sunshine in the afternoon sitting by a little table with a cup of tea. The bedroom is spacious with ample sunlight and soft, dimmable lights at night. A whole wall is dedicated to an impressive library of book and DVD collections. The kitchen is compact but fully equipped so that my mother could cook conveniently. The landlord was very considerate and detail-oriented and did his utmost to make sure that my parents' stay is comfortable and enjoyable one. I highly recommend this unit for anyone looking for a little retreat in Monterey.

Location and charm in Santa Barbara

5 of 5
This luxuriously decorated, impeccably clean, and thoroughly comfortable studio was a perfect place to spend five days back in Santa Barbara, my home for 30 years, until I moved away six years ago. Located just one block from State Street, with its convenient electric trolley service, shops, restaurants and just five blocks from the beach and Stearn's Wharf, this apartment is great for enjoying all that SB has to offer. Off-street parking, a very pleasant and surprisingly private porch, and bicycles are welcome amenities. Laura emailed me to let me know that the city planned an electic service outage one night and offered an extra flashlight or whatever else I felt I needed. It was not an inconvenience at all since I slept through the outage! She checked the next morning to be sure that all was well. I highly recommend this studio, especially as an alternative to similarly priced hotel rooms! Great location, thoughtful service, excellent value. Five stars!
