David M. Seattle

Excellent, quiet location, within easy walking distance from the Mission. An old cottage that has been tastefully update to modern standards. Adequate parking in the driveway and a small garage that could accommodate a vehicle less than 180 inches in length. Includes the most comprehensive "welcome" book I have ever encountered.

Memorable 70th Birthday Celebration

5 of 5
Villa Escondido provided a lovely setting for the celebration of my 70th birthday with my husband and our two daughters and families, nine of us altogether. The home is beautifully maintained and decorated and is very comfortable with plenty of room for a large group. My eleven year old granddaughter claimed the upstairs alcove as her place to sleep and hang out, and wasn't ready to go home when the time came. My oldest daughter and her husband cooked a delicious birthday dinner in the gourmet kitchen and served it in the spacious dining room. My younger daughter and husband ordered a delectable birthday cake from the Layers Bakery in Monterey. They were also the assigned cleanup crew after dinner. On Sunday morning we all walked to the Aquarium where my eleven month old granddaughter was enthralled with the jelly fish. A couple of us also went kayaking in the bay early Sunday afternoon, and at three o'clock the men started watching the Super Bowl game in the den that was fully equipped with glassware and bar utensils. Drinks and snacks were served. We all gathered in the cosy kitchen later in evening to feast on leftovers. By the time we left on Monday morning everyone said they had a wonderful time and that I had rented an amazing house. Sanctuary Forest provided excellent customer service, and I very highly recommend this property to others.

Pacific Grover Charmer

5 of 5
Stayed in Pacific Grove for New Years and really enjoyed the rental. House is very well maintained and clean, kitchen well stocked with everything you need. Driveway fits multiple cars and plenty of parking on the street. The little guest house in the back worked well for us. Downstairs bathroom is a bit different, with 3 sinks and 2 showers, but worked. Pictures are accurate. My only issue was the front door, sticks a lil bit. Partial ocean view from the living room and dining room, just need to trim the neighbors trees a bit more and the view would be spectacular. Neighborhood is quiet and very walkable to downtown Pacific Grove. Would stay here again.
