Perfect Carmel Retreat

5 of 5
My Husband and I recently had the good fortune of staying in this beautiful home to celebrate my birthday and I can't imagine a more perfect location anywhere in the world to get away, relax, reflect, rejuvenate, and enjoy! Jennie's home is absolutely lovely, immaculate, and serene. This light filled house has spectacular views of the Carmel River Wetlands and the Mountains at the Mouth of Carmel Valley. Jennie's home in Carmel Meadows is just a few minutes walking distance from one of the most spectacular beaches along the coast with views of Carmel Point to the North and Point Lobos State Reserve to the South. This stretch of ocean is one of the true treasures along the Carmel Coastline and private enough that you can still find solitude there on most days. The only thing trumping this beauty is Jennie's warm and welcoming hospitality. She truly wants you to have an extraordinary experience, and believe me, you will!

A quaint stone cottage under the oaks in Ojai

5 of 5
We loved staying in this stone cottage in Ojai. It is a charming place with lots of windows and skylights. It has a lovely front porch where we enjoyed most of our meals under the beautiful oak trees. It is in walking distance of downtown, Sunday farmer's market, and great hikes. We also enjoyed the proximity to Ventura and Santa Barbara. The owner and daughter were very friendly and available to respond to any need. We can easily recommend you consider this as a destination, as we did for a month.

12 adults and 10 kids. We had great fun with the extended family (a group of 6 families) Had long walks on the beach and kids had a blast building complicated sand structures on the beach and roaring fies at night. We enjoyed staying in this house wall its amentias as well and its close proximity to the beach. We had a fantastic time celebrating the 25th anniversary of members of our adopted family and made wonderful memories. We are about to leave but we already cannot wait for another chance to stay her.
