Magical and Relaxing Getaway

5 of 5
I loved this Apartment so much that I'm renting again for the entire month of July. It's a fabulous and intimate space that has plenty room and everything you could possibly need, including peace of mind. The apartment opens up to a gorgeous patio, with stunningly calm trees, flowers, and birds. You follow a magical path down to a private hot tub over looking a Carmel ravine of tall trees and morning mist. The apartment itself is fully remodeled, offering the charm you'd expect of Carmel, with the upgrades of a modern home. Off the main bedroom is joining patio that is perfect for bird watching, or reading a book, or hanging out in an enclosed area with your pet. Everything was so well cared for, from the detail of the kitchen utilities to the art chosen for the walls. I am counting down the days until I can visit this oasis of joy once more!

Scott's guest house

5 of 5
Scott's guest house offered us a wonderful retreat from the hustle and bustle of day to day city life. Both Steve and Marie were extremely hospitable and took care of all our needs. The place is perfectly located- it feels as if you are in the middle of the woods and yet, one is very close to the freeway and not more than a 10 min drive from Santa Cruz downtown. The living room has large glass windows and it was such a joy to wake up every morning and experience the forest outside right from my bed. The place is well furnished and interior decor is nicely done (and not overdone) with lot of attention to detail. The close proximity to hummingbirds, thanks to the numerous hummingbird feeders and a jacuzzi in the back yard really added to my over all experience of the place. The kitchen is small yet extremely functional. The bed room and the living room are not separated by a wall- not that this is a problem, but just something to keep in mind for those who like to sleep in separate rooms because of privacy, noise issues etc. Overall , we had a wonderful experience and hope to go back again. Highly recommended.
