Scott's guest house

5 of 5
Scott's guest house offered us a wonderful retreat from the hustle and bustle of day to day city life. Both Steve and Marie were extremely hospitable and took care of all our needs. The place is perfectly located- it feels as if you are in the middle of the woods and yet, one is very close to the freeway and not more than a 10 min drive from Santa Cruz downtown. The living room has large glass windows and it was such a joy to wake up every morning and experience the forest outside right from my bed. The place is well furnished and interior decor is nicely done (and not overdone) with lot of attention to detail. The close proximity to hummingbirds, thanks to the numerous hummingbird feeders and a jacuzzi in the back yard really added to my over all experience of the place. The kitchen is small yet extremely functional. The bed room and the living room are not separated by a wall- not that this is a problem, but just something to keep in mind for those who like to sleep in separate rooms because of privacy, noise issues etc. Overall , we had a wonderful experience and hope to go back again. Highly recommended.

Fabulous vacation rental

5 of 5
We stayed at this gorgeous, very comfortable apartment with our 2 kids (ages 2 and 5) in November and loved it! It was plenty of space for our family of 4 and each bedroom was decorated with such charm and style. The kids loved the outdoor patio spaces, and we enjoyed sitting outside for our morning cup of coffee and for a glass of wine at night! There is also a hot tub which was a delightful addition. The apartment is walking distance to down town and the beach, and the owners' were so friendly and welcoming. We would definitely book it again next time we come to Carmel!
