I wish we could have stayed longer--what a great place. We rented this cottage for our daughter's graduation. Having had a hard time finding hotels every year for move-out, I thought ahead for graduation (UCSB) and arranged this 9 months ahead. I wanted to be able to bring family to graduation without it requiring them to reserve a hotel ahead of time. This was so far superior to hotel rooms, I can't even express it. The space was great. For what we would typically pay for 2 hotel rooms, we had a 3 bedroom house. The inside was phenomenal (2 living rooms) and having a grill outside was perfect. After graduation, we went and bought fresh local fish--at the pier--and grilled it at the house (I almost typed 'home'). We didn't use the spa, or the outside space, but it looked great. Being a block from the beach, we took advantage of the opportunity to walk on the beach.
So, long-winded review...bottom-line, awesome. Large enough for people to be able to seek quiet or conversation; so perfect for family and friends to stay together. We had both with us, and would go again in a heartbeat. A few extra nice touches: lots of essentials in the pantry--way beyond salt and pepper. Washer and dryer were a bonus. When we read reviews, a criticism was that there were DVD players, but no DVDs. While we didn't watch any tv or movies, I noticed that there was a decent set of DVDs. Remembering the criticism, I was impressed that the owners had responded by filling the gap. I honestly have absolutely no recommendations for improvement. Loved it.
