Authentic Big Sur experience

5 of 5
After many years of staying in different hotels in Big Sur, we wondered what it would be like to stay there like a local, and the Teapot made our wish come true. It is very isolated in a wonderful location; the quietest place I have ever stayed. It is immaculately maintained and the communication with the owners is outstanding. When we had a problem with the scheduling because of a work conflict, Doug went out do his way to accommodate us, and we loved the entire experience.

Wonderful stay

5 of 5
We rented this cabin to celebrate our son's 10 th birthday. It accommodated our family of 5 plus 2 friends with room to spare. The cabin is charming and rustic with a fantastic deck overlooking the lovely surroundings. The master bedroom gives one the sense of sleeping in a treehouse with big windows showcasing the branches. We really loved the location, which is at the very top of a road- a beautiful hiking trail to a waterfall basically starts at the end of the driveway. The house feels very private because of the location and although it is extremely convenient to town, it felt more retreat- like and rustic than some others that are situated closer to town. We appreciated the simple lockbox entry and well- stocked kitchen. Owners were extremely gracious. Overall a fantastic weekend retreat!

THANK YOU Miss COLLEEN!

So peaceful. And a hot tub in the woods!? Mr Gary the caretaker was amazing - kids still talking about the chickens and horses. And he & his lovely wife took us on a beautiful tour of the horses! We were amazed by the chain of state trails in the area - connecting right up to Garzas. Our 4yo and 6yo had no trouble hiking 6 miles each day. And - you can see the ocean! A class act all around. Keep this one a secret! Amazing linens, bathrobes for all, and radiant floor heating. Thank you all. This was better than the Monterey Aquarium. And we found the best newts I've ever seen. THANK YOU GARZAS CREEK!
