Desert Retreat

5 of 5
This home was well maintained, very clean and beautifully appointed. The attention to detail by the host was amazing. Linens, kitchen utensils, etc were new and plentiful. The pool, jacuzzi and BBQ were amazing and made sunny afternoons a wonderful family time.

Everything about our stay was perfect

5 of 5
What a beautiful house, perfect location and great value. Everything about our stay was flawless. The house is gorgeous and more spacious than the pictures suggest. It is modern, expertly decorated and very comfortable. The luxurious amenities provided exceeded our expectations. The bedrooms are lovely, with comfortable beds and quality linens. The kitchen is amazing with its large breakfast bar and stools, modern appliances, even a wine fridge. The master bathroom was quite a treat, I had never experienced a shower as large and such powerful body sprays before. The outdoor area was just as impressive with its beautifully landscaped, sunny, quiet and very private backyard. The hot outdoor SPA with powerful jets was awesome to relax after a day of hiking or biking. The large pool was perfect for swimming and floating around and the pool side chairs were very plush and comfortable. The stereo system was a great feature to have with music playing throughout the house and outdoors. The large TVs and impressive cable package made everyone very happy. The home is well maintained, immaculate inside and out, and well appointed. Everything was provided, paper goods, spices, cleaning products, extra batteries, BBQ tools, extra propane tanks for the outdoor grill, pool towels, pool floats and toys and more. We took advantage of the four adult bicycles provided to explore the beautiful bike trails of Palm Springs. The owner was very attentive and responsive throughout. He thought of every detail to make our stay as relaxing as it could possibly be. He also provided us with ample information on local events, restaurants, stores, and attractions . We can't wait to visit again!

BEST PLACE I'VE EVER RENTED!

5 of 5
I was so lucky to find this magnificent treasure to stay in. This was the 7th time I've stayed here [I'm hooked]. I am a neat freak, so I was very pleasantly surprised the first time I stayed here. It is always immaculately clean, and everything is in perfect condition. It has a nice contemporary feeling, even though the owner has artfully decorated throughout with gorgeous antique furniture and accessories. It literally feels like home. And I can't believe the price is so cheap. I've rented places for three times as much as I paid here, and got less in return. It is only five minutes from the airport, and there's a Trader Joe's only two blocks away [a real plus!]. The owner is always super friendly, and couldn't be more helpful. There is always a handiman available, but we've never needed to avail his services. The weather was perfect this trip, so we spent a lot of time out on the terrace gazing at the mountains and the sunset and sipping Margaritas. During the day there is a constant stream of wild finches coming in to eat, and the hummingbirds are a delight to watch. At night, the stars in the warm desert night are breathtaking. Being a writer, I am always pleased at how quiet the place is. No traffic noises, or loud music to disturb my concentration. My companion and I also spent many hours this trip happily ogling antiques [there are scores of shops and consignment stores in the area with incredible bargains], and evenings are always interesting in Downtown, especially the Farmer's Market on Thursdays. Our six day stay this time was just what the doctor ordered, I can't wait to get back to this bright jewel in the heart of the Palm Springs desert.
