Truly Exceptional ! What a great place to settle into - WOW.

5 of 5
My sisters and a brother in law from New England came for my daughter's wedding and after the first two days decided they would come back to Patti and Don's "Same Time Next Year". Pretty radical decision by my staid Eastern siblings. Everything about Patti and Don's cottage had been anticipated and thought of including boogie boards, which we used and surf boards, which we didn't. The beds were very comf, the living room relaxing and well upholstered, the kitchen supplied with anything you could imagine. The laundry room came complete with detergent.... a personal delight was the outside shower with a door directly into the second bathroom. We experienced hotter than normal temperatures (up to 100F) and yet the cottage seemed air conditioned by simply opening the front door and the Dutch door - what was most remarkable = no bugs or flying things. Our daily walks to the beach were enhanced with sand chairs and beach umbrellas. Truly our hosts have thought of everything. Both Patti and Don were extremely helpful and informative regarding where to go, where to eat (of note: Clementine's Steak House at the edge of town = the pies, the pies) and their tips on other places truly enhanced our "Carp -adventure" of five days. We look forward to coming back with great anticipation.

Best House in Carpinteria Hands Down

5 of 5
This September marked our third stay in this beautiful home. From the very first stay a few years ago, my husband and I knew we would be returning many times. This home is truly the best vacation home in Carpinteria. The location is perfect as it is just a block from the beach. The property is gorgeous and exceptionally clean. The home is equipped with everything that is needed and not merely with the bare essentials but with luxurious linens and bath towels. And the kitchen, WOW. With a Viking range cooking is never a chore. During our first stay at this home my husband and I checked out other rental properties in the area but none could compare to this home. This home also has everything you would need for time at the beach. Beach towels, bogey boards, Tommy Bahamas beach chairs, umbrellas, kayaks, life vests. It really is amazing! This home is only 10 minutes from Santa Barbara where shopping is amazing and if young children are visiting the Santa Barbara zoo is a great place to enjoy.

Quiet, comfortable retreat

5 of 5
We (elderly father, two adult daughters) came to Carpinteria for an extended-family gathering over the 4th of July weekend. This was a wonderful retreat for us to escape to. It was comfortable, quiet, well-furnished, and really convenient to the central shopping area. The only minor difficulty we had was backing out of the driveway, since it's hard to see oncoming traffic (it would be perfect for people coming by train). I would recommend it for anyone wanting a really nice place to stay with an easy walk to shops and restaurants.
