Cozy, Comfortable, Perfect Location

5 of 5
amy was a delight to work with from start to finish. This property comes as advertised and is even more charming in person. It's proximity to dining, the beach, area attractions (17-mile drive, Carmel Valley, the Mission) was ideal. It is a short walk to numerous dining and shopping options and allowed us to take in the sunset on Carmel Beach each of our 3 nights. It was a storybook getaway for my wife and I and we are so thankful to Amy for making this cottage available to others. If I owned this perfect little haven I'm not so sure I'd be as willing to share. If you are considering this cottage, do yourself a favor and stop procrastinating!

Charming cottage for girls trip

5 of 5
I just got back from a three night stay at Pussy Willow cottage with five girlfriends. The location and ambience was perfect for us. The great room is warm and cozy with whitewashed, beamed ceilings and comfy furniture. We loved having the fireplace going on the chilly fall nights. We'd start out every morning with coffee in the garden and it was private and charming. We rented the guest house so we would have the extra bedroom and bathroom and I'm so glad we did. It is a long walk into town but we all were up for the exercise since we were eating and drinking more than usual. While you are there visit Georis winery in Carmel Valley. A really great find with very generous tastings and an eclectic garden restaurant. Take the drive to Big Sur and have lunch at Nepenthe. The food is delicious and the view is breathtaking. It is truly one one of the most beautiful views in the world.

We Will Be Back

5 of 5
My husband and I have been to Carmel 14 times and this time we decided to bring our 3 adult kids and their spouses and our 2 grandchildren. I looked at almost every property in Carmel and Monterey and finally decided on the Acorn Ranch. And I made the right decision. We oohhhed and aahhhed over every detail from the minute we drove up. The ocean views were far more spectacular than I had imagined and the decks provided many spaces for people to enjoy their own privacy. It was very obvious that a gifted architect designed and owned the home. Every detail was exceptional - the furniture, the antiques, the artwork, the ceilings, the walls, the skylights, and the fireplaces. Our family hit all of the incredible sights of Carmel and Big Sur during our stay - Pebble Beach for early morning walks and evening dinner at The Bench overlooking the 18th green. Rocky Point and Nepenthe at Big Sur were highlights and we walked across the street to Point Lobos for some of the most beautiful sights in the world. Clint Eastwood's Mission Ranch was a favorite along with Doris Day's Cypress Inn sitting outside by the fire. I would also recommend Casanova for lunch and walking along Scenic Drive. But with all of the incredible moments we experienced, we carved out time at the Acorn Ranch to sit in the sun overlooking the ocean or eating around the fabulous dining room table. Everyone loved the ranch - and the grandbabies especially loved the cows, horses, turkeys, and the deer. Mark took great care of us. Answered the phone with our every need and managed to get our toilet fixed within a few hours even though he was out of town for a day. I almost hate to let others know how great it is because I want to keep it our secret. So save us a spot - WE WILL BE BACK.
