Miller Vacation

Rating Details: I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was more than happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was more than helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Unlike in the photographs and discription of te3h rooms, the sleeping spaces were a little sparse. The people downstairs in the small office claimed they could hear every time anyone sat in the coaster chairs and that it was loud--I checked it out, and it was a little noisy in the bath and pool room . The small room seemed to have better insulation- Acoustics are such that you can hear talking upstairs from downstairs and downstairs from up. Again, the complaints came from downstairs. The owners were wonderful and thoughtful.because there was no space at all for him . (The kids in the pool room joked that they could not sleep with all of the scarry stuff and momentos in the pool room.) If I were you, I think you would want to warn people about the water situation beforehand. I think my husband mentioned the microwave placement took up a lot of space on the freuently used counter, he could not find teh hot tub instrucions or test kit, and says we could nt lock up the door to the exercise room---using the key--which I took inside so it would not get lost. I was glad that we checked it over previously, because we then discovered that we could not invite our other son to join us. That is everything we could to point out. None of it prevented us from having a lovely time at your property. It was obvious a labor of love and we respected that. We love many of the same things--Bonnie

Serene, Idlyllic, Stunning

5 of 5
This beautiful retreat was perfect for our annual small family business getaway. Our group of 3 families with 9 adults, 2 children and a dog felt very comfortable with plenty of private space and well-designed common spaces. Only 1.5 hours from the South Bay, we had time to enjoy this incredible home with its stunning views and all the amenities in the area like Pt Lobos State Park and Carmel. The home is on two levels with two suites on the lower level and two on the upper. The lower level has its own den with views and a comfy place for kids to hang out. The kitchen has a nice layout with luxury features like refrigerator drawers and an espresso machine. But the most impressive feature is the large patio outside the living-dining area with its expansive views of Carmel and the ocean. The view changes throughout the day - deep blue ocean surf and rocky coastline to billowy banks of fog rolling over Carmel to the lights of Carmel at night. Gorgeous. On the other side of the living-dining area is a large, serene patio with a koi pond. With a bbq grill, its perfect for dining al fresco. The home was designed with passive solar heating and warms up quickly during the day. But when the doors on both sides of the main living area are open, the fresh air breezes through keeping the temperature comfortable. When the outside temperatures are cooler, there's cozy radiant heating. We have this property on our list and plan to bring out of town guests and family here in the future. Luis, the property manager, was very responsive and helpful as was Lou, the owner.
