Wine Tasters

5 of 5
Our family (3 adult couples) just returned from 4 days in this beautiful oceanfront home. We were all very pleased with the accommodations. The house is just as pictured. Though we had problems with the wifi, Sonja was immediately responsive. We all agreed that we would like to reserve this house again in the future. The reviews we read prior to arrival about the notices and "rules" are not justified. Any rental will have procedures to keep the place enjoyable for future rentals. We found the rules to be common sense and anyone who enjoys 5 star properties will not object. The property is conveniently located for walking into town and quickly getting to the freeway (46) to the wineries in the Paso area. Morning walks on the boardwalk help to keep off the calories from Linn's pies and the Sea Chest dinners (not to mention the great wines in this area).

Peaceful Lovers Cottage

5 of 5
One of the best places I have ever stayed! This place was clean and had everything we needed! A nice walk down to the beach but a really tough uphill battle on the way back so wear good shoes. We used the fireplace during the rainy Halloween night along with a glass of champagne it was perfect! The master bed was one of the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in. Great menu box was available and it was really close to town! It was hard for us to get up and do anything cause the place just felt like home! Thank you Don and Sharon for opening up this place to us! We will be back!!

Great place for a family reunion

5 of 5
Our family gathered for a reunion and chose the Pickford House because of its location, half way between Northern California and Southern California, as we live in both locations. We had a fantastic time. The little town of Cambria is delightful. The Friday Farmers' Market is great. "Moonstone" Beach is great. It wasn't even windy on the beach! The house is big enough for all of us to gather around the table for meals and sit around the fireplace, although, it was too warm for a fire, it was still lovely! All of the rooms are nicely theme decorated. Being foodies, we are all about the kitchen and meals. Two nice big frig/freezers, 6 burner stove, oven (BUT no broiler, just FYI), electric waffle iron that works great! Toaster, mixer, blender.... some basic spices and cornstarch. The kitchen has seen better days, but it worked great and plenty big enough for a bunch of people working in there. The big bar made for a nice backdrop for a group photo as well as a place for gathering. We plan to go back!!! Thanks, Marci for a great time!
