Outstanding Home for our Family Celebration

                          5 of 5
I guess this is the year of the 60's as 15 of our family gathered together to help us celebrate our 60th Wedding Anniversary. The house is perfect for this size as there were bedrooms for all. It is great having a bath in each bedroom. The large gathering room and super bar was perfect for our wonderful meals and for lively conversation. The fireplace was a great spot in the morning for family to gather and share morning coffee. The location in Cambria is perfect for enjoying the wonderful Central Coast and we did just about everything - elephant seals, walks on moonstone beach, hikes along the Cliff trails in Cambria, Hearst Castle, Morro Bay, San Luis Obispo tea and shopping in the town of Cambria. When staying there don't miss the wonderful photographs all over the home, in the halls and in each bedroom. There is a lot of interesting history to see. We will highly recommend this home to all.

                          More beautiful than expected

                          5 of 5
This is a beautiful place. The location is outstanding; the home is clean, bright, and well maintained. The colors are bright and the the back of the house is a wall of windows on both stories. The entire back of the house is unobstructed "ocean view". There is no peaking over rooftops, beyond telephone lines, or through moving traffic to see a speck of water. We grilled dinner at night while seals entertained us in the surf. We saw a few boats and there were some folks walking their dogs along the beach. It was just so private. The house is in a quiet residential area that has irs own herd of deer. With these vacation rentals, you never exactly know the condition of the house until you step inside. Beach homes are a challenge because of the sun and salt water. This house was extremely well maintained. There was fresh paint; no sticky window; no warped boards. We enjoyed a couple trips to the Passo Robles wine area. We drove up to Big Sur and took so many pictures along the way. We drove down to Morro Bay and had lunch by the ocean. The best thing about each day of our vacation was was beginning and ending it at Waters Edge. As I begin the last day of my vacation, I sit at the kitchen table watching the tide roll out, and write this review. It will be so hard to leave tomorrow. I would love to come back.

                          What a gem!

                          5 of 5
My family, which includes 3 teenagers and a 120 pound black lab, stayed at The Big Red House for 5 nights in August and we couldn't have been happier with our choice. The house is immaculately maintained and the location is incredible! Apparently most families who stay here bring dogs but you can't tell when you're here. There's not a dog hair to be found in the place! The kitchen is well stocked, the video library is hard to beat, the flat screen TVs are amazing, and so is the view. The master bedroom faces the ocean and when the windows are open and the sea breeze is coming through it is Heaven on earth! The house is located in a very upscale neighborhood and we took walks in the neighborhood every day. If I had to find a complaint (and it's hard to come up with one) I guess it would be that the backyard isn't fenced. Our dog isn't the type that you can just let out and he'll stick around, so we had to take him out on a leash each time he needed to go potty. But who cares. We were on vacation and it was no big deal. We'll definitely be back!
