Great Location, Great Cottage

4 of 5
Our stay couldn't have been more wonderful. We arrived late Friday night, and the twisting winding roads made us wonder what the view would be like in the morning. We awoke to wonderful views of the trees and countryside. There were coffee beans ready for us, so the morning started without too much trouble and quickly we were able to find directions to the nearest breakfast joint, all of a 10 minute drive into the town of Calistoga. We had our baby with us and there is a large oak tree with a swing that we both sat in over the course of the weekend. We strolled around the property, amazed at the fog (fog doesn't happen in Colorado). The beds were comfortable the dining table was great for the breakfasts that we cooked (ample cooking utensils, pots, pans and bowls were provided). The cottage was clean, and sufficiently furnished with generous amenities. There were plenty of leaflets on local attractions in the cottage so finding our way around and to the wineries and towns was very easy. The cottage has internet access with an unnecessarily long password. Unfortunately connection didn't happen for those of us using our handheld iDevices, but on the laptop it came through fine.

Beautiful, serene, quiet, and overall lovely.

5 of 5
The Villa was beautiful and charming. My family (2 adults / 2 children) had a fabulous time. If only California was not so far from Boston, we'd go back many times over. The house is clean and has everything you will need. The location is PERFECT. So close to everything. The views are magnificent! We also loved how cool the nights stayed making sleep very peaceful. Thank you and we will be sure to recommend to those ever visiting the area.

Friends on the Vine

5 of 5
We just returned from a fabulous stay at Scarlett's Country Inn. From our arrival to a stocked fridge to our departure with a friendly farewell, our stay at Scarlett's was more than we could have asked for our group's most anticipated visit to the wine country. The charming farm house was clean and comfortable with soft downy bedding, plenty of bath towels, and a well-supplied kitchen. The detached cottage was equally comfortable and well-stocked. The surrounding grounds provided a picturesque setting to plan our days each morning and sip our wine finds in the evening. Leisurely dining al fresco, soaking in the hot tub, stargazing warmed by the outdoor fireplace made for a memorable trip these Friends on the Vine will not soon forget.
