We had only been to Borrego Springs on day trips from Palm Desert, CA but were always fascinated by this fairly remote area. My husband was sent to Palm Springs in the 1970s to run a major retail department store and he thinks that Borrego is the closest thing to what PS was back in those days. This is an obvious exaggeration, however, having traveled to Palm Springs over the last 30 years, it is vastly changed. Borrego Springs is not for everybody, but if you love the desert and are willing to live without some of the things that population brings this may be the place for you. We loved this place and are considering a longer stay next year. This unit had everything we needed, we have no complaints, although we were warned that there could be bobcats in the tamarisk grove across from the unit, we didn't see any. Other renters have seen big horn sheep in the area. This condo is in a group that is tucked up against a hill, it feels very secluded. We loved it.
