We had a pleasant stay at Dubloon Court. The house is clean, and provides a nice location for a reasonable rate compared to many of the other options nearby. Views are nice, as is the outdoor table (we were very lucky to have very warm weather and only one day of wind). Couches are comfy and dining nook is an enjoyable place to gather. We didn't think it quite lived up to other rave reviews--I think we found the level of rules and reminders to be a bit out-of-synch with the level of hospitality provided. To be fair, some of the reminders may just be automated by VRBO and not generated by a host, but they got border-line intrusive. A number of light bulbs were out, and the cupboards had empty boxes of teas--certainly not big issues, but compared to the level of care we expected from the reminders to be careful and courteous with the space, some of these small things ended up undermining our sense of welcome. All that said, it is a pleasant stay and a good value. We imagine it would be ideal for a family with well-behaved kids. We had a wonderful meal at Terrapin Creek, and an outstanding meal up at The Eatery by The Sea, part of Jenner By The Sea/Jenner Inn, during one of our short field trips. Karin's recommendation to shop for supplies in Petaluma and/or at Pelicans Market were helpful. We also appreciated her allowing is to park one car two hours before check-in and having some cell signal in Karin's home--which can be rare in that part of the North Coast.
