Our family's favorite!

5 of 5
After staying at many other places around South Lake Tahoe, this is by far our favorite! We stayed once a couple of years ago, and just stayed again this past week. It felt like coming home the second time we stayed. Everything is just as we needed it to be. We have to little ones and the layout was perfect! The kids rooms are up in the front of the house and the master is in the back, down a long hallway. So that provided some nice privacy for us! Every room in the house is well stocked and there are even items that you wouldn't expect to find in a cabin rental. Things like a crib, highchair, kid-friendly plates and cups, tons of different kitchen items, a bbq grill, and even many pantry type foods were all there! The location is perfect too. It's in a nice quiet neighborhood in town. It's very close to the grocery store, many restaurants, the lake, and of course the ski and sledding resorts. The owner, Kate, is great too. She's super friendly and gets back to you quickly whenever you contact her. Booking was easy and our stay was more than enjoyable. After staying twice now, we've made the decision that this is our "official family cabin rental" whenever we visit South Lake Tahoe! Really looking forward to going back!

Awesome time at the Fawn of the Lake

5 of 5
Fawn of the Lake stay in middle of December was breathtaking this year. We stayed for three nights over a weekend and had some of the best family time in years. We took a short five minute walk to the south shore pier that extends over a 100 yards for brilliant views the snow covered mountains that surround the lake. I don't think it was possible to take a bad photo. After the first day of snow skiing we used the garage to shake off the snow and clean up our gear without tracking the water inside. Then played some table tennis while we made some fresh BBQ chicken. We fit two families at the (dining) table and passed around the foods as well as the funny stories of the year. To sum up my review I would recommend this place as I have already started to plan our return. This was our families fifth time to rent a cabin in the Tahoe area. The price was very reasonable for what all amenities that you get. This cabin is very close to the lake and a major brand grocery store both that you can short walk to. It is fully furnished kitchen and with plating that could serve our two families. The crock pot slow cooker came in very handy. The crock pot recipes on the fridge for inspiration was a nice touch. There where vintage board games that kept our children entertained as well as the table tennis and horse shoe pits in the big back yard. I was also able to watch Monday Night Football on the big screen (maybe a 50 inch). The Internet speed and reliability was great. The water pressure was good and the temperature was hot when I needed it. The gas fireplace works great and dries out ski gloves like expected. There is a also central heat that we used. The Fawn on the Lake cabin is new building and very clean. Everything I used in the cabin worked. I liked the light switch and drawer labels.

Absolutely Wonderful!

5 of 5
We spent a great weekend here with 3 kids ages 9, 8 and 6 and they absolutely loved the Playroom filled with books and toys to keep them entertained. The first thing they did waking up was going into that room and it was the first thing they did each time we returned from being out at the beaches which are very close to the home. The home is very comfortable for our family of 5 adults and 3 kids. Location is within 10 minutes drive from the casinos and the lake, in a very nice and quiet residential area. Thank you Ivan for such a wonderful experience and recommendations to beaches and restaurants. You were right, we really did enjoyed your home and we will definitely come back soon. Hope to be able to make it a tradition to come back every summer!
