Hated the vacation to end!

5 of 5
My family and I had a wonderful stay in Hardy and Anke's apartment. It was well stocked with amenities to get the vacation started. The apartment was very clean and has been beautifully renovated. The beds are all new and of high quality. The linens are well stocked and of high quality as well. We loved that there was plenty of room for socializing; our favorite spot was having our morning coffee on the balcony. It is located on a quiet street conveniently located near the ferry. So it was easy to enjoy both the island and all it has to offer and the peninsula with its beaches, Fun Zone, and night life. We can't wait to come back!

Comfortable Vacation Home

4 of 5
This Balboa Island home provided a comfortable and convenient vacation experience. There were 2 adults and 3 teenagers in our group. We all had an excellent time! The owners were easy to communicate with and arrival through check-out was smooth. One of the very best features of this home is the location. It is located steps from the harbor and a couple of short blocks from the Newport Peninsula ferry. Our family rented bikes for the week at a nearby shop. We rode to the quaint main street for ice cream and shopping, took our bikes on the ferry to the beach and to several nearby restaurants. We also spent a day in Disneyland and found the drive from the house to the park to be easy and stress-free. Although there was construction on a nearby home, it did not hinder our trip. This home was plenty spacious, and we made good use of the large dining table and outside front patio. The kitchen was well stocked and all the basic conviences were supplied. The upstairs did get stuffy each day and one back bedroom did not cool off easily even with all of the windows open. Some of the furnishings are somewhat dated but the bathrooms upstairs are beatifully remodeled and again, there is plenty of space. There is a basketball hoop out back but no basketball. We purchased a ball and played almost daily. If you plan to prepare meals at the house, we recommend purchasing your groceries on the way into town as there is no large grocery store on the island. We absolutely recommend this property and hope to stay there again!

Fantastic Family Vacation Spot

5 of 5
Our family of five stayed at this wonderful property. We loved being close to the quaint downtown and all of the fun shops and great restaurants. We felt very confident letting our older children browse the shops on their own knowing that they were completely safe. The house itself is CLEAN, well maintained and very well appointed with essentials for the kitchen and BBQ. We loved being able to walk to the bay front for swimming, kayaking and playing in the calm water. We also enjoyed the short walk to the ferry to go over to the ocean for boogie boarding. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a fabulous family vacation spot on beautiful Balboa Island.
