Little Gem

5 of 5
We recently spent almost 2 weeks in the converted carriage house in Alameda. Our first grandchild is nearby, so it was a quick drive to our family's home nearby. First impressions proved correct as we found a wonderful breakfast for the next day waiting in the kitchen for us plus a bottle of wine if desired. The location is ideal. Owners John and Arthur are great sources of info on sites, eateries, and are more than accommodating for our every need. Crisp white linens and towels are always available. The bathroom is equipped for travelers if they need various toiletries. The place is spotless. The property is an oasis and is fascinating with antiques, botanical displays, lemon and apple trees, koi ponds and live canaries in large enclosures. Every effort was made to make us comfortable. We hope that next time this coming winter, we can take the time to get to know them better.

Amazing

4 of 5
The apartment is lovely and well maintained. The view is absolutely incredible!! The location is not only in the heart of wine tasting country, it is in the middle of a vineyard. The owners were delightful and accommodating. We went to visit friends and family, taste wine and eat some of the best food in the State of California. Terra Mia is in the middle of a strip mall so if you're not looking you might miss it - but don't it is delicious. Uncle Yu's Chinese fare is in downtown Livermore and there is none better anywhere.

Perfect Home Base while visiting SF and Bay Area

5 of 5
The house and location was FANTASTIC! A block away was a Safeway and Trader Joes. The beach is two blocks away. Rooms are huge, the upstairs bathroom is beautifully renovated. This was a great place for us to use as home base while visiting a myriad of family in Berkeley, Oakland, and Alameda. We would usually start our mornings with coffee on the front porch, then end our day with cocktails on the front porch. We were able to have family and friends over a couple times, which was a nice change for us. Usually we are stuck in a tiny rental with no space. Rebecca was easy to communicate with and I would absolutely recommend this house to all my friends and family.
