The first person in our group who arrived before the rest of us was waiting for us in the unit with the keys. We were to call when we arrived but were frustrated to find that we were unable to call or text a message to him. I asked a person in the building to call the owner who fortunately answered and said she would call the maintenance person to let us in. He came out immediately, was very courteous, and immediately took us to the unit.
Walking the David Lam Park below and going by ferry to the Granville Island Market was most enjoyable and the day and night views from our unit were beautiful. The unit was attractive and spacious. We left the car in the garage and took the Hop On/Hop Off buses to see the sights. There was a good variety of restaurants close by as well as a market where we got groceries. The location was convenient to stop in Richmond for dim sum on our drive out to WA.
Since we were unable to use our cell phones, it would be great if there was a phone in the unit to use only for local calls or with our calling card. The kitchen had the cookware and utensils we needed, but the kitchen knives need sharpening! Top bedsheets were lacking and the mattresses (esp master BR) were too hard for comfortable sleep (at least for seniors). The lamp on the night stand in second BR didn't work (possibly needed new bulb). Our driver said that instructions should include where to specifically point the garage door opener and the location of garage elevator; also a warning to not go up emergency stairwell in garage.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely return if the beds were more comfortable!
