My family and I had an absolutely amazing stay at the Avalon coach house. When we arrived the owner Julia greeted us and allowed us into the suite early so we could settle our daughter for her nap. We usually book hotels whenever we stay in Vancouver but due to wanting to have additional space for relatives to stay we decided to book an apartment. We usually stay in hotels downtown such as the Pan Pacific or the Fairmont Pacific Rim, both of which usually cost us about $400-$450 a night including valet parking. Compared to a hotel you have the convenience of being to wash your clothes (which is a must with a 2 year old) and being able cook your own meals. The price is highly appealing and competitive, with free parking and WIFI as a major bonus.
With regards to the coach house itself:
There were baked goods to welcome us and other items such as milk to get us started during our stay
There were toys available for the little ones to play with (our daughter loved the rocking horse)
We felt there was ample space for our family and additional family members who also stayed with us
We were close to multiple shops on W Broardway
Kitsilano beach is a 5 minute drive from the suite or about a 25-30 minute walk
Next time my family and I stay in Vancouver, we will be renting the Avalon Coach House again!
