Stay at Hobbiton

4 of 5
The Cob Cottage is a sweet, cozy little Hobbit house. It has a well stocked kitchen, functional toilet and shower and a lovely comfortable sleeping loft. It was clean and well stocked, with some lovely aesthetic touches. Mayne Island had a number of hiking trails and interesting spots to visit. Some great local arts and craft shops too.

Great Place!

5 of 5
This is a fantastic place on an amazing property, the owners take pride in the place and it shows. The kitchen is well stocked and there's very little you'll need to bring, in terms of spices/condiments/utentils/pots and pans. The hot tub is great and each bedroom has a deck which leads out to it. It's in a very rural, quiet area (really all of East Sooke is) and is great for getting away from the city, with some great hikes nearby. The fireplace is quite amazing, wood burning and the whole house was piping hot very soon after starting it up (the owners were great and even had it going a couple of hours before we got there). This was our group's second visit and we'd definitely recommend it to others.

lovely cottage, great central location

4 of 5
We had a lovely stay in this cute little cottage. Very clean and comfy. Our dog came along and had a good time too. From the picture it looks like the cottage is in the country, and it feels that way, but it is actually in the town of Duncan. We walked to stores etc. Definitely check out the trestle bridge if you visit.
