Wonderful stay!

5 of 5
This was the perfect home base to explore Bonaire! The grounds were beautiful and lush and the cottage was clean, modern, and comfortable. We really enjoyed having the windows open with the nice breeze. Even though there are other cottages nearby, it felt completely private. We enjoyed lounging on the front porch and watching the butterflies fly by. Truly paradise! We hope to be able to return sometime. Also, the owners are responsive and super helpful. We felt well taken care of! Highly recommend!

Great headquarters for a dive holiday!

5 of 5
This was an ideal spot for an adult family holiday. Two of us stayed for the entire month and kids and partners came and went. The house is ideal for a relaxing and active warm holiday. With the diving at Captain Don's only two doors away and a beach for swimming even closer. We rented bikes, went windsurfing and took time to read and visit. The house was exactly as pictured, clean, fully furnished and good cooking facilities (including the BBQ). Luca (the property manager) checked in with us regularly and was availble extra in the first few days as we settled in.The house is on a small quiet side street without a lot of traffic, feels very safe and private despite close neighbours. If taking small children they would need to be on a tight rein as the shore edge is quite steep and dangerous for a toddler... probably OK for 5-6 year olds.Having a car was useful for groceries etc but if eating out lots might get away without one. Would definitely recomend the place and have already booked for next year!

Bonaire & Villa Makoshi

5 of 5
Bonaire has the reputation of being laid back, slower paced and very tranquil. This is all quite true; the island also offers fun places to visit and exceptional restaurants. Bonaire is a small island located in the Southern Caribbean known for its pioneering role in the in preservation of nature, particular the preservation of the marine environment. This was my first visit, enticed by the stories of some of the most incredable diving in the world. This trip I went with friends, overall we had a wonderful trip. The diving was exceeded what I expected. Another island gem is Ville Makoshi which has a lovely setting, from the villa itself to the landscaping surrounding it which was peaceful is well thought out. The villa itself was very clean, and large, with adequate seating all guests and ceiling fans the warmer evenings. The bedrooms were air conditioned which made sleep very comfortable so we were well rested for another day of diving. We had a living room, & a full kitchen and dining area, two bedrooms with full bathrooms, and a storage area so you do not have to carry your gear far from the truck after it was rinsed it off in the conveniently located outside rinse basins The patio was large with tables, chairs; lounge chairs, a pool in the common area, for relaxing and enjoying the day's diving stories The dive shop was very close to the villa, I found the dive shops helpful. The restaurants in the area had great menus with excellent food. We especially enjoyed our dinner at "Unbelievable" I expect there are many ways to describe Bonaire: "Best Kept Secret", "Unhurried'', "Unspoiled", "Unforgettable"; "Divers Paradise". The fact is that I found all these statements are true, and then some. There are a number of reasons people should visit this island. There is the climate, the water, the sun, great food, excellent diving. I found that I did not have enough time to do all I wanted to do. It is also the warmth and friendliness of the people & the diving is what will bring me back, as well as the adventures of Kayaking in the mangroves
