My wife and I spent a week at the end of October at Beachcomber Villas. It was a great week. We stayed in the apt with 1 double bed. The apt was perfect for us, but what made the stay complete was the helpful hand of Tim and Leanne, the owners that live down stairs.
First the apartment. Very clean and comfy. Has a TV, internet, stove, oven, microwave and fridge. It has AC for nighttime use in the bedroom only--which generally is the only time you are there anyway, so that isn't a problem. There is a small ipod music player/clock radio, but it only works for the older ipod/iphone connections. The view over the water is fantastic, and literally you can dive right down the steps from the back gate. It is also a very easy walk from the villa to Captain Don's Habitat (an iconic dive resort) that has a great bar and restaurant. It is pretty much on the same property. The Dive Friends Bonaire dive shop is also on the same property, which is incredibly convenient for washing dive gear and picking up tanks, etc. It is located just north of Kralenjydk in Hato. 5-10 minutes from the most northern of the dive sites.
The only down side is a little lack of privacy. You share the outdoor balcony with the other apartment, as well as all of the windows are open during the day so you know who is in the building and coming and going. Neither of these are a big problem...just would want to know ahead of time.
As nice as the apartment was, it was complemented by the ever-present help of Tim and Leanne. From directions to the grocery stores, to restaurant recs, to dive shop assistance, to dive site recommendations, to equipment rinsing and drying at the end of the day, I cannot say enough about there help. They would give you as much or as little as you needed. We were first time visitors so we needed the help. Each sunset was spent with them sitting down by the water visiting and enjoying the sunset. Really great people.
All in all, a great place.Great location. Great people. Great vacation
