Recent Bonaire Reviews

Highly Recommended!

5 of 5
Our first visit to Bonaire was fabulous due to the amazing diving and Beachcomber Villas! Leanne and Tim are very warm, caring, trustworthy people who know how to treat their guests well. We would recommend Beachcomber Villas for the following reasons: 1. Our apartment was extremely clean. Not even a crumb in the silverware drawer. 2. The tap water is better than the Rockies. We drank gallons of it and wanted to bottle it up and take it home. 3. The books they have available (dive sites, fish identification) really helped us navigate/plan our dives. 4. The beds are very comfortable. Slept better than at home. 5. The snorkeling out front was a great way to wake up. Very easy to just walk right into the water. 6. Kitchen is stocked with everything you need (including starter groceries if you ask). 7. Tim's diving tip of the day made us more confident in our own dive skills. We came to Bonaire as amature divers (~20 dives total) and left feeling like semi pros. Listen to Tim, his diving background is ridiculous. 8. Leanne's knowledge of the island was extremely helpful. She told us about its history and also knew were to find our souvenir Christmas ornament. 9. Our apartment neighbors (Joe and Deb from WY) were hysterical. 10. Leanne set up all of our reservations from night diving to restaurant reservations. 11. Between 2 Buns is close and really really good. Visit Beachcomber Villas, you wont be disappointed!

Lovely property in beautiful location

5 of 5
Absolutely loved staying this property for a number of reasons: 1. The apartment was beautifully finished and appointed with bbq, air conditioning in both bedrooms, fully fitted kitchen with plenty of cutlery/crockery etc, dishwasher, wifi, car parking, bath and beach towels 2. Location was great being a three min drive from the airport, five min walk from nearest beach and with easy access to supermarkets (3 min drive) and rest of the island 3. The balcony was the star - right on the water in a private marina so that you could bbq and eat next to the water (but pack some mosquito repellent - not just for here but the whole island) while viewing the wonderful sunset 4. Finally Lolymar was extremely thoughtful with welcoming touches such as flowers and drinks to welcome us after the plane journey, a guided tour of the apartment so everything was clear, tips on the local area and accesible at all times throughout the trip in case we wanted to ask questions about the apartment or local restaurants Overall, can't fault the experience at all and would heartily recommend to anyone

Divers paradise condo

5 of 5
I had a wonderful two week stay on the island of bonaire. First let me say how nice and friendly all the island people are, not once did we feel scared for our safety or personnel items left in the condo or inside our vehicle unlike other carribean islands. Michelle made all the arrangements and Donald was waiting at the airport upon our arrival. Thanks to Michelle and Tim for making our stay so perfect in every way, if at any time we had a question or needed something they were just a email away and answered promptly. Tim has outdone himself remodeling the condo it is absolutely beautiful in every aspect, the beds are more comfortable than the westin heavenly beds and the living room and outdoor furniture are also very comfortable he has spared no expense. The kitchen has everything you could need for food preparation including a juicer. Where on this island are you going to find AC in every room........not many my friend, and this was a wonderful treat after a long day diving, snorkling, and hanging at the beach. The condo has a dive locker with a hanging rod for your BC and plenty of storage for dive gear. We found a food truck cactus blue and kite city at donkey beach near the airport both had wonderful burgers/fish sandwiches with bean bag chairs on the beach. A local told us of a man that sold fish out near the ball field so we made our way over there several times wonderful fresh fish for a very cheap price we purchased 3 lbs of grouper cleaned for 9 dollars, baracuda, snapper, and trigger fish all fresh from the boat and delicious. Also dont miss the distillery in Rincon, the donkey sanctuary, salt pier and watch for the pink flamingos. Favorite dive spots 1,000 steps - tolo - karpata - alice in wonderland - and salt pier. If you would like to take a evening sail with drift snorkle/meal/drinks contact Wim at COMPASS SAIL you will not be disapointed and if your lucky you will be served dolfins swimming along side the sail boat for desert. We love everything about bonaire and plan to return many times in the future we will look no further for a place to stay this place has everything. Thanks for sharing your beautiful condo.....BON BINI until next time. You will find a set of fins, snorkle, and mask left behind along with a 4x8 tarp for anyone whom might need to use them enjoy.... as one takes memories from the island one should always leave a little something behind for others to enjoy.
