Wonderful stay!

5 of 5
We've just returned from 9 nights at this property. Although we spent every day out, either swimming or sightseeing, we always knew we had a comfortable home to return to each evening, to sit out on the balcony with an evening drink listening to the whistling tree frogs. The studio met our needs perfectly. Spotless and spacious, It was within a couple of minutes' walk to a great plaza (grocery store, pizza place, dollar store, wonderful bakery with the best blueberry muffins, and a fast food chicken restaurant which we unfortunately ran out of time to try); a popular local restaurant with good, reasonably priced food; and a yummy ice cream shop with outdoor seating to watch the sunset. Because of the proximity to these places and the fact we usually had a nice lunch out somewhere, we never made use of the studio's kitchen equipment or BBQ to cook a meal but we did eat breakfast there every morning. Nothing has been overlooked, from local information in folders to everything you need to cook a meal if you choose, lots of fluffy towels, a comfortable bed, a beautiful double sink bathroom with a great oversized shower, tons of storage, a phone for free local calls, more TV channels than we expected (who knew we'd be able to watch Toronto's CITY TV?!), and wireless internet. A 2-minute walk brought us to the bus stop so it was easy to get around the island every day with our bus pass and we made the 15 minute or so walk over to Horseshoe Bay and Warwick Long Bay on a couple of occasions. Great value for a truly enjoyable stay. We knew we had chosen the right place even before arriving. Email communication was super quick, friendly and efficient - and the warm welcome from the owner when we stepped out of the taxi made us immediately feel at home. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Very nice house, very hospitable owners, great loc

5 of 5
We stayed in this house for 3 nights. John (the owner) picked us from the airport, brought us to the house and showed us the property making sure we are comfortable with everything. House is located 2 minutes walk from the bus stop, 5 minutes to the best (Horseshoe Bay) beach on Bermuda (which is next to scuba dive shop). House is well equipped - air-conditioner (you rarely need it), fans, kitchen, TV, etc. If you use oven it gets a little bit hot in the kitchen, but it is very minor problem. Very safe and nice neighborhood. We would stay at this house again.

A Delightful setting in the Church Bay area

5 of 5
The accommodation was the perfect location for us and within easy reach of Church Bay as well as the other beaches throughout the Island. The description of the property is spot on and the dogs were a delight. Amenities such as the washing machine and dryer helped keep the beach towels fresh. Nice size fridge with a good ice maker for those Dark and Stormy drinks. Having Scooters was a huge bonus and opened up the entire Island for us. With the help of Patty and Junior, we were given expert information as to where to go and what to see. Many hidden gems in Bermuda if you have the right contacts. The accommodation was clean and comfortable with a well appointed kitchen, lounge with good TV and Cable channels. The WiFi was excellent with surprisingly quick response times. The outside shower was great to wash the sand off the snorkeling equipment and ourselves, nice and cool after a long day in the sun. I would recommend visitors bring as many groceries as you can as the cost of shopping is very high. There is an excellent "farm stall" on Middle Road - going west, where the cost of the fruit and veg is far more reasonable. The snorkeling at Church Bay is very good. Other good snorkeling areas are Daniels Head, Turtle Bay, Tobacco Bay and all along the South Coast beaches. Horseshoe Bay is good later on in the day when the ship people tend to drift back to Docklands. We had some good restaurant experiences such as Twizzle and Gulf Stream on the South Road. Best restaurant was The Lobster Pot in Hamilton. Try their good value lunchtime set menu. Award winning Fish Chowder. Docklands is good for a visit and awe at the vast ocean liners. Nice Frozen Yogurt shop with good value snacks. Visit the Carole Holding shop in the Docklands mall with many nice souvenirs. Going to the top of Gibbs lighthouse was worthwhile to see nearly all the island. Bring a pair of binoculars for Turtle watching and Gibbs lighthouse. Bring an underwater camera - we're gutted we did not bring one. A delightful location, with good sleeping accommodation, no need for AC as the open windows with the mosquito netting provided a nice cool breeze through the house day and night. I would recommend this property to a small group or family. We will be going back one day. Bill Adamson
