We stayed here for 8 nights and really enjoyed the privacy and location.
It was great that it had a full kitchen. Waking up and having bacon, eggs and toast really helped the budget for food cost (although groceries are very expensive as well).
The apartment was super clean and looks just like the pictures.
It is perfect for two people. Three adults would be a little crowded maybe. Depends on how much space you like!
It is well located to the southern beaches, and you could walk to Horseshoe and Church's, but we rented a moped from Elbow Beach Cycle for the week! (although Oleander Cycle is just 1000 ft away from the apartment). I just found Elbow Beach Cycle to have newer bikes, although the basket on Oleander's is bigger! Which would be super nice. You can go all over the island with no problem on the cycle.
Melody had Craig meet us at the apartment and he checked in on us once during the week, although we were out enjoying the day. I felt I could contact them at any time if I needed, but we were just fine.
Blue Water Divers is just a 10 min drive up towards Somerset, so if you like diving this is a perfect spot so that you are close and don't have to worry about traffic or leaving early to make it on time. Blue Water Divers is a great place, however I would try and get on dives with less people, sometimes there were maybe a couple too many divers which makes things go slower.
As for eating out. Hmmmmm. :) We found it difficult to find really good food for what you pay.
I would not recommend Henry the Eighths. Found hair in my curry - server didn't care. They still get their tip anyway.
Pompano Beach Club is a nice place for dinner and the sunset, but yes, there were birds flying around inside. The Chowder and Calamari were great!
There is a hidden gem in St. George's (opposite side of island) called Art Mel's Spicy Dicy. HUGE fish sandwich, for about $12. A STEAL. It was my lunch and dinner. Make sure to ask what locals put on it, as you can get a variety of stuff. Don't just get fish. Hot sauce, lettuce, tartar sauce, cheese etc.
While in St. George's head back to Tobacco Bay and spend some time snorkeling. Probably the best that we did (although Church's is good), we liked the maze of rock pillars. A lot of fish and easy access.
Overall we had a great time in Bermuda. We would totally stay with Melody and Craig again.
BTW Paid by wire transfer, was safe. Cody
