In the middle of everything.

We had a wonderful stay at the Atlantis. The weather was beautiful and the two master suites was the perfect fit for our party of two couples. It was a short walk to shops, restaurants, and the ferry terminal. Faith was so nice. She arranged a personal pick up for us from the airport. My only suggestion would be that a few new pillows would be a great addition.

Amazing Property - Ideal Location

5 of 5
We stayed in this lovely self-catering two-bedroom apartment in March (2015). From the moment we walked through the doors we knew that we had found the ideal location for exploring not only St. George's, but all of Bermuda. The main hallway is wide and well lit. The beds are comfortable. The heating (& cooling) system is efficient and quiet. The Great Room has beautiful exposed Bermuda Cedar wood beams. The bathroom is completely new. The kitchen is large and fully equipped with new appliances. There is a balcony, with a BBQ, overlooking the harbour and Ordnance Island. During our stay we were able to see several tall ships in the harbour. There are laundry facilities in the building. St. George's is a great place to base yourself for a short or extended stay in Bermuda. It is close to the airport and the taxi fare to St. George's is very reasonable. We purchased March bus passes at the post office across the street from the apartment. With the bus passes we were able to travel from one end of the island to the other, including travel on the ferries. St. George's is a quaint historical town with lots of spots to explore. In addition to the post office, there is a visitors' centre, banks, an ATM (available 24 hrs.), grocery store, pharmacy, restaurants and lots of shopping opportunities. Tobacco Bay Beach is about a fifteen minute walk from the apartment. Tobacco Bay is a great place to spot colourful fish. The apartment is above "Just Add Water", a water sport and retail business owned by Faith and Neil. Faith and Neil were great. They were responsive to inquiries and provided us with lots of useful information. Cathy works in the "Just Add Water" shop. She was an amazing resource...a very friendly and approachable person. We enjoyed our many conversations with her. We rented kayaks one morning. It was a windy day, but Ian was able to find an ideal location for paddling in a sheltered bay that provided a bonus opportunity for exploring a mangrove swamp. Ian was a skilled and knowledgeable guide. You should take a tour, if you are able. We will definitely return to this location on another visit to Bermuda. The facility and the "Just Add Water" people are "Bermudiful". :D

Loved it, loved it, loved it!

We recently stayed in the Exim RSVP apartment in Somerset. Last year we stayed in the first Exim Apartment – both are very nice, and you will not find nicer hosts than Cathy & Jody, or a better value in Bermuda. The first Exim Apartment is a bit more elegant in feel while the RSVP apartment has a beachy vibe. The view from the sitting room in RSVP is amazing (the same view you get from the balcony in either apartment) -- we ate breakfast and a few takeout dinners there. Our understanding is that Cathy & Jody plan to add a small takeout restaurant and landscape the area next to the building -- can't wait to see it! The Dockyard is about a 2 mile walk – our favorite restaurants there are Café Amici and the Frog and Onion. We also like to walk around Somerset/Daniel's Head. We even walked to Horseshoe Bay one morning, which is about 7 miles – you can get most of the way there on the railway trail. We also walked to Hog Bay Park, which is an interesting place. For those of you who are not walkers, the buses and ferries are frequent, reliable, and clean. We recommend that you get bus/ferry passes whether you walk or not, so you can visit Hamilton, St. Georges, etc. In the Somerset area, within about a half mile walk or a short bus ride from Exim, there are several great takeout restaurants: Green Lite, Misty's Takeout, the Village Café, and a new one we didn't get to try, Gloria's Kitchen (in a yellow building on the water, on the right just after the Watford Bridge). Woody's is also a takeout restaurant with tables outside and several bars. They have the best fish and fishcake sandwiches on the island! The Country Squire across the street has a great outdoor bar – we met several friendly and interesting local people there. We hope you get the chance to visit Bermuda and enjoy the local experience at Exim!
