A Stunning View and Prime Location in Bermuda

5 of 5
What a great way to stay in Bermuda. My wife and I have enjoyed Bermuda for 5 years from different hotel perspectives...all wonderful. Because our daughter is getting married this year we decided to be more budget conscious. Minzah Jamil (beautiful view) was a great choice. The townhouse setup provided a very clean, spacious, homey environment with all the amenities for cooking, washing and relaxing in, or outdoors. Barbecue grill and umbrella table included. The location is embedded in a cozy, classic Bermudian hilltop neighborhood, with water views and sunsets that take your breath away. My wife and I are comfortable with traveling the island on scooters. The rental facility is conveniently located at the bottom of the hill and our hosts kindly gave us a ride down upon our arrival, so we did not waste anytime getting over to Horseshoe Bay later the first afternoon. Unless your extremely athletic and don't mind climbing steep hills, we highly recommend a scooter. One of many positives was location and proximity to South Road Beaches, Church Bay for snorkeling, The Reefs and Fairmont Southampton hotels and Henry the VIII restaurant for evening dining and entertainment. All reachable within minutes by scooter in evening wear without the need of a taxi, unless you plan on drinking. However, taxis are readily available from this location if necessary. We found the location convenient for venturing into Hamilton or going in the opposite direction to Dockyard. Those choosing to visit St. George should use the ferry system from Dockyard. Having a full size refrigerator found us at the supermarket more than we anticipated, however because it was located minutes away on Middle Road, the convenience was welcomed. We did cook a couple of our dinner meals, make sandwiches for the beach and have breakfast before starting the day. The real reason we love Bermuda and go back every year is because of the warmth and friendliness of the Bermudian people. Half our time spent on the island is revisiting friends we've met. Our hosts radiated this same Bermudian quality—they treated us with lots of kindness. Their recommended taxi driver was charming and hosted us for an evening at the John Lennon Peace Concert. We've created wonderful new friends, and a Bermudaful home we will revisit again!

Bermuda bliss!

5 of 5
We had a fabulous stay! Faith was very easy to work with. This apartment was exactly as pictured, we ended up staying in their other apartment across the hall which was even better! Clean, spacious, great location, had everything we needed. We had coffee overlooking the bay every morning from our balcony and happy hour every afternoon! Went to the grocery store everyday (very close by) everyone is sooo friendly! Many restaurants close by as well and it's less than a 5 minute walk to the bus stop. The trip could not have been better, walked to the beach at Tobacco Bay two days in a row, perfect! We will be back!

A wonderful property, very conveniently located

5 of 5
This is an excellent property. The location can't be beat if you want to stay near St. George’s. It is a very easy walk to the center of town, yet tucked quietly away. Groceries, great restaurants, and a pleasant, low-traffic evening walk are steps away. This made it a much better choice, we think, than an isolated resort or too close to hectic Hamilton. A multi-day bus/ferry pass, which you can purchase at the St. George's Post Office, gets you anywhere if you take the time to enjoy the ride. Service to St. George's is as often as every 15 minutes. The house itself is in great shape, with three spacious bedrooms and two baths, with plenty of privacy for families. The kitchen is roomy, modern and well-equipped, with a small breakfast bar and a separate formal dining room seating eight. There are separate TVs upstairs and down, and even a pool table. The house is up some steps, and so it has great views of the harbor while not being too close to neighbors. It is hard to say anything bad about the house. If you can't handle stairs, it is probably not for you, but we did not find the climb difficult. Humidity was a problem, but that's true everywhere on the island, and we didn't run any of the air conditioners (in almost every room). We mainly ate out for lunch to moderate the high cost of food, hitting the specials at Wahoo’s Grille and the CV Cafe, while eating in for breakfast and dinner, or using the nearby Chinese take-out. Somer’s Market is open early and even open Sundays. We have had good and bad vacation rentals; this place rates right at the top.
