BEAUTIFUL AND BIGGER THAN PICTURES SHOW.

4 of 5
This was the perfect house for us and our two older teenagers. Good sized eat in kitchen and two full size futon couches in adjoining LR. Kitchen had full size fridge and all up to date appliances and was stocked with dishes and cooking basics. Wireless and cable also. Bedrooms nice with firm mattresses. Individual and incredibly quiet and efficient AC units in each room helped keep us cool on the warmer nights. Otherwise open windows that let in the breezes and ceiling fans were great. Outdoor shower was wonderful after a day on the beach. Just down the block was bus stop and Church Bay beach which was lovely. Bathrooms there as well as shady benches above with lovely views. The owners were gracious and so helpful with anything we needed as well as advice. Perfect combination of being there when needed but giving us all the privacy we might have wanted. The bonus for us was also the two adorable dogs that greeted us each day and were so well behaved and barely barked. Sand chairs for beach also available and an abundance of towels. Clothes lines and full laundry really helped for our 8 day stay. The owner also picked up some basic groceries for us before we arrived and bus passes which allowed to drop our bags and start our vacation right away. The property itself was pretty big and was perfect for a frisbee throw. Clean and well maintained. Location great with two bus lines close by and just a few stops from horseshoe bay and Gibbs lighthouse. About a half hour from Hamilton. It is private and quiet but one thing to keep in mind at any house rental: there are tiny tree frogs that sing at night and might keep a light sleeper not used to it awake. Of course resorts and hotels have all kinds of other noises too. We would recommend this property to any of our friends.

SPECTACULAR LOCATION

5 of 5
My wife and two daughters stayed here for a week and had an incredibly relaxing vacation. The proximity to the ocean was amazing. We would spend time each day relaxing either on the lawn chairs, hammocks or benches and were mesmerized by the views. We'd leave the 2 sliding doors open at night to hear the waves and night breezes. The unit was clean and new, and the outdoor grill was great to have. 10 minute walk up to 2 bus stops on Middle Road made using the bus system easy. The walk is uphill so be prepared to get some exercise! 10 or so minutes on the bus to get to Horseshoe Bay, Warwick Long Bay, and within walking distance were Church Bay to the east and West Whale Bay Beach to the west. Our rental agent Chrystal arranged a taxi from/to the airport and purchased bus passes for us in advance that were at the unit when we arrived. Heron Bay marketplace is 10 minutes away by bus to get groceries. The property manager Corey came by on our arrival day to give us a tour of the unit and was a great guy who was ready to help us if we had questions. There are laundry machines on the property which was convenient. All in all we loved Heron Suite and will rent again the next time we visit Bermuda.

THE PEOPLE!

5 of 5
The apartment is in a wing attached to a large house on the sound. It has a large bedroom with big closets, a smaller sitting/dining area with a pull out bed, and a small kitchen overlooking this area. The apartment was exceptionally clean with plenty of towels, bath towels, ironing board, washer/dryer and a stocked kitchen. The bed was comfortable and there were plenty of extra blankets in one of the closets. The apartment has a private entrance and and a patio with outdoor furniture. You walk down a slight slope to the large dock where there are very nice sea kayaks to use on the sound. Although we never used the pool, it was beautiful and the view from the pool patio fantastic. You walk up a flight of stairs to the pool. We still owe Christina and Jamie a night on the patio. They were exceptional hosts and welcomed us with great sincerity and kindness. Christina drove us to an event while we were there and also provided us with bus tokens to get around. We ended up renting scooters which made getting around a cinch. Bermuda is too small for you to get lost and people there are ready to help you find your destination and even willing to drive you where you are going if heading in the same direction. Jamie and Christina's house is actually on a narrow point of land with the lake-like Harrington sound touching their back yard and the beautiful Shelley beach less than a five minute walk away on the other side. This beach is gorgeous and you can wade way out into the ocean. It is never crowded and there is a beautiful park right next to it. A nice grocery store and pizzeria was as a 3-4 minute scooter ride away. This apartment is very centrally located. Downtown is 15-20 minute scooter ride away. The airport the same in the other direction. Golfing about the same distance to the east. I want to thank our hosts again for the great reception. You will hardly find nicer people and we are coming back for another event in Bermuda next winter and we hope the place is available again.
