One of the best places I've ever stayed!

5 of 5
Luxurious, comfortable and peaceful. Belizean Cove Estates surpassed my expectations. Even on the first night I had a great night's sleep. And morning coffee on my large, private balcony overlooking the water was such a special way to start the day. The staff were always available and yet not intrusive. They helped arrange one of my best diving experiences. Thank you! In addition to the beautiful accommodations, what really made my stay so special is that I could simply jump in the kayak and be out at the reef in a few minutes. I had dolphins jumping just 20 feet in front of me. One evening we had Chef for Hire prepare an amazing dinner with the fish we caught the day before deep sea fishing. And, the pool is just amazing. I've stayed in very nice places in Europe and South America and this is one of the best. I highly recommend it.

Love the Iguana House!

5 of 5
This is my ninth trip to Belize. I have stayed on the main land and on Ambergris Caye each time. This is my second stay at this property. I was very happy with the help Nicky gave me and my family who all arrived at different times to the Caye. She set up the golf cart rental for us and delivered it to us upon arrival at the water taxi. There was complimentary water at the house and a cell phone for local needs. We also were privy to kayaks and bicycles which we used several times. All was great with the house which has a bathroom for each of the 3 bedrooms which is very nice for a group. The new back porch is beautiful with a laundry line which worked well for the after snorkeling attire and towels to dry. There is a BBQ but we did not use it this trip. The kitchen is well stocked with pots and pans, coffee maker, and hot water kettle for tea or the like. The beds are comfortable and the large eating table works well for family game nights also. The last reviewer mentioned the distance, and unpaved roads and no lighting. Seriously? Get with the island spirit! This home has all the necessary perks plus more, like a washing machine, and wifi. These are especially nice and not common in rentals here. Very close by is Mata Grande grocery so one need not go into town for food stuff, water or beer. Any tour will pick up at the pier or the one just north of the house, so excursions are easy to take. All in all my family had a wonderful time here at iguana house for the second time in 5 years. We played in the water, snorkeled, fished, and ate. Thank you Nicky for the improvements to the house and allowing us to stay here.

CocoBeach resort

4 of 5
Arrival to the resort was coordinated and welcoming. The accomodations were terrific, very comfortable and nicely appointed. The pictures did not do the resort justice. The staff was friendly and helpful. The cleaning staff was phenomenal, truly above compare. The pools were cleaned daily, the men were very meticulous and thorough. The grounds were beautiful, clean and pleasing. We ate at very interesting restaurants all over the island and did our research to choose wisely, we were pleased with the local flair and interesting options. We rented golf carts and it was an adventure as the road condition is very poor, the alternative is to take very expensive water taxis to San Pedro but neither is ideal. We took 3 excursions and had a fantastic guide, Ricky, who is the best of the best! The property is located perfectly to take advantage of the southern and the northern activities and restaurants. Volleyball, Mayan ruins fishing and snorkeling were the family favorite activities. Food was expensive, we were prepared for this but it was very expensive! The showers are not powerful, only a trickle if others in the unit are showering at the same time. The food at the resort is not good which is a shame as it forced us to leave the resort at lunch and dinner. Breakfast at the sister resort next door is terrific and a must. I would recommend staying here, but bring snacks and your wallet. Enjoy!
