18 Degrees North Christmas 2014

5 of 5
Spectacular! Our stay was the best family trip we've ever taken...complete with a beautiful relaxed setting of the private home and view out to the reef, fantastic local food, adventures snorkeling & spear fishing, cool day trips to Caye Caulker & Shell Island, and the expertise of both Ernesto & Samantha. We ate like royalty with Ernesto helping us spear lobster and snapper then Samantha treated us to local recipes that really made our trip a cool experience. All of our friends flipped over our photos and stories and several will be booking trips to 18 Degrees North as well. Having access to the boat and Ernesto for adventures and trips to San Pedro for supplies made it easy. The people are friendly and the beauty of the water and island elude words. The question for us is not IF we will return but rather WHEN we will return...

Definitely nirvana

5 of 5
We had a fantastic time at cash nirvana. We have stayed in San pedro before, so we were familiar with the island, and the house is Ina great location, especially now that the road is being constructed. Beautiful waters right out the front door. The kayaks made accessing the reef easy, which made it feel like we had our own personal reef. There were no problems with the house, the upstairs view is definitely the highlight. Sam the housekeeper is a great help for whatever you might need and is right down the beach. Also there is a boat/snorkel/scuba operator north of the house that were amazing. They were fun, knowledgeable, and very affordable. Highly recommend

A family gathering like no other in a beautiful place like few others

5 of 5
Casa Rana...all expectations exceeded! Thoughfully designed, functional, with great attention to aesthetics, furnishings and detail. Siting is exceptional--white sand, a manicured native plant landscape with palm trees framing the view to the ocean. There is solitude and privacy without isolation. A coastal ferry provides ready access to San Pedro. Local fishing, scuba and snorkeling guides make picups at the private dock. Comfortable chairs under the talapa at dock's end yield views of azure water and distant breaking reefs. The house itself has an open floorplan, the kitchen contemporary, beds wonderfully comfortable and porch to view and relax. There is a sense of harmony and peace that defines Casa Rana. Richard and Diana, the owners, are gracious, knowledgeable and accommodating. They made, at our request, all arrangements for fishing, scuba diving and snorkeling aboard the El Gato. They reside in a separate house on the property as does a full-time grounds keeper. Richard and Diana are availavle and helpful, but respectful of privacy. Their love of Casa Rana and life in Belize is apparent and reflected in this extraordinary property. Our family gathering was made perfect with adult children converging here from Washinton State, California and Sydney, Australia--each well traveled but noticeably apprecitive of what a wonderful place Casa Rana is. Asked what they liked most--the burrito guy biking past with fresh hot fare, the superfast outboard powered ferry, a nap in the hammock under palm trees, sitting with a mai tai under the palapa at the end of the dock, just soaking up the ambience. And then, maybe it was the time to hangout with family and be engulfed in the magic of Belize and Casa Rana
