You Better BELIZE It!!!

5 of 5
Wow, what a great house and property. The pier by far being the place all 8 of us (4 adults and 4 kids) spent most of our time because it was amazing. With the fishing and the constant caribbean breeze it didn't get much better. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed and then some. Javier and Mabel were awesome! Domingo a must for your meals. We felt his food out did the food at the restaurants! Snorkeling through Splash was a huge hit for all of us! We would have stayed longer if we had the chance and would love to go back! Kathy and David were great getting us the information we needed in planning our first trip to Belize. Thanks so much!!!

Spring Breakers!

5 of 5
We got back last night from our week in Belize. We had a lovely time in Placencia! We drove down from Belize City and arrived at Casa Nettuno, after a 3.5 hour drive. Ignacio was there to greet us and show us the house and provide the keys. We ate dinner that first night at Wendy's in the village and loved our meal! Other places that we ate dinner at included Rumfish y vino, Habanero's in Robert's Grove resort (very tasty mexican dinner), the Cozy Corner (we also had a great beachside breakfast there one morning!) Jennifer cooked chicken and beans and rice for our dinner one night. The last night there, we made our own dinner w/ fresh caught fish that day from John and Chris's fishing trip. Some great lunches that we had were at Dawn's Grill and Go (really liked that place, and we met the owner Dawn who was lovely!), and another great lunch at Sweet Mama's in Robert's Grove resort, which was delicious. We ate lunch at DeTatch one day which was just so-so. We probably would not recommend DeTatch. Brenda's place at the dock was bustling and she provided us with fresh-from-the-oven, homemade macaroons, and lunch more than one day. John the Baker Man also provided us with yummy baked treats (cinnamon rolls and coconut tarts), as did the Above Grounds Coffee Shop (I loved the fresh juice blend for breakfast at Above Ground and the fresh breakfast doughnuts and muffins we had there!) We did a day of snorkeling through Splash, out to Gladden Spit to try to spot some whale sharks (they eluded us that day!) The sea was a bit choppy for snorkeling, but the lunch served onboard and the boat crew were all wonderful. We had a nice time swimming and relaxing in between snorkeling. Not sure it was really worth the price of $200 per person, especially since we did not see any whale sharks and did not see a really big variety of fish while snorkeling. In truth, both my son and I got a bit seasick. My husband really enjoyed his time on the water. Another day we did a Monkey River tour set up by Robert's Grove that was actually a lot of fun for us. We enjoyed talking with our guide,Terry, who lives in the Monkey River village and we loved the simple but delicious lunch served at the village restaurant. We loved the walk in the rainforest and saw MANY howler monkeys while on the hike. The price for the tour seemed like a real bargain for the amount of enjoyment we got out of it. We loved the house and its beach. Ignacio and Jennifer were both wonderful. We will come back!

Simply Wonderful!

5 of 5
Where should I start? Everything about Angel's Landing is exactly as depicted. The house is clean and airy with great views. We were here for 12 days and made use of the pool everyday and rarely ventured off site except to replenish some supplies,as we had everything we needed (pool and the beautiful Caribbean)!.We had friends stay with us for a few days and they loved it as well. We enjoyed everything about our stay and highly recommend it for anyone wanting to get away from it all and just relax. On one of our foray's off the property we went to Habenero's Restaurant at Robert's Grove and enjoyed a great meal and views of the marina and lagoon. Lus (caretaker) is a jewel and was so friendly and helpful. We arrived later than expected due to flight delays and she was such a welcoming presence when we finally arrived. Lus made our last night at Angel's Landing so special by bringing us a home cooked fish dinner(freshly caught). All this because my husband had inquired as to where we could purchase some fresh fish. Truly the perfect end to a perfect vacation!. Thank You so much.
